Admerals office:

The admerals intercom beeped.

Admerals captian:Sir, they have begun to fight and a few speeders have been destroyed.

Admeral: good keep me posted

The admirals comlink beeped.

Gorin: Sir, ballin is rescued, but there has been a quake on the planet and the settlement is all but destroyed with some servivors. I have sent the troops that rescued ballin to help, but I think they will need escort fighters to help them.

Admeral: That is not good news. I will have Denevon's tie squade provide air support and escort service to the troop shuttles on the surface. out


The admeral activated the comlink again.

The fight with the the rebels on the surface:

Denevon suddenly saw some of the trees the rebels were hideing under suddenly fall down trapping 2 speeders with 3 other rebel speeders avoiding been trapped.

She continued to watch as her squad destroyed the trapped speeders with the occupants being picked up by the remaining speeders and leaving the battlefield at the fastest possible speed.

When she saw why, Denevon's heart sank. 2 volcanoes had just erupted and were causing major damage. Just the her complink beeped.

Admeralevenon, You and your squad are to proceed to the caves as quickly as possible. There you will provide air support and escort services to help evacuate the hurt and wounded.

Denevon:yes, sir!

Then she activated her comunication equipment on her fighter.

Denevon:All fighters break off pursut of rebble speeders. We are heading to the caves to provide escort to the settle of the shuttles there.

 

Jo-Ni was glad to hand Ballin over for someone else to help. He was heavy to her! As she began to climb aboard one of the shuttles, Shasta and one of the males, the one Ballin had shot, followed.

"What am I going to do with you two following me around?" Jo-Ni asked the cats with a moan.

She looked out and saw the rest of the pack of cats heading for higher ground, as if they knew something she did not. Shasta looked at Jo-Ni, as if saying "We can't leave you now. Hurry and we can survive."

But what did she mean?

"Okay, come on. But if he's coming too, I'll need a name for him as well, Shasta. Any suggestions?" Jo-Ni said, not expecting an answer.

 

Ballin let more of his weight go as a trooper took him. He had been trying his hardest not to put to much on Jo-Ni, as painful as it was. A painful gasp escaped his mouth as he sat down in a flight chair.

 

The male galiar smelled something in the air and growled. Jo-Ni looked to see what the cat was upset about and saw Ballin in a chair.

"Easy, boy." she told the cat. "He can't harm anyone right now."

She really hoped that Ballin would be okay after his experience with the Rebels.

"You know, I think that Jazier fits you." she told the cat. He seemed to agree.

At the The caves:

As the shuttles took off some of the fighters were coming into sight of the storm trooper captian who was a co-pilot of one of the troop shuttles. he could not believe what he saw. 2 valcanoes erupting and another billowing black smoke. The sea was also in termoil with large waves pounding the shoreline.

Admirals office:

Admirals captain: you had better take a look at this sir.

The admeral took the report from his captian and read the first page in silience.

Admiral: Is this really true?

Admirals captian: Yes!!

Admiral: Thank you captian. return to the bridge. I will deal with this.

The captian left and the admiral picked up his comlink.

Admiral:Gorin are you there?

Gorin: Yes sir.

Admiral: As soon as the shuttles pick up the survivors at the settlement have them head for space as quickly as possible.

Gorin: I will sir. May I ask Why?

Admiral: It appears the quake was not just on the dry land and that the settlement will soon be hit by a tidal wave that is building in strength at this moment.

 

Jo-Ni made her cats lay down as the shuttle took off. As they flew towards Gorin's ship, she looked over to Ballin. He was resting with his eyes closed. She hoped he would be able to recover. But, she had faith in Gorin and his crew, including the medical guys.

Before long, the shuttle was landing. She decided it would be better to make the cats stay down until everyone else was off. Only then would they get off the shuttle. That way, the cats would have less trouble to get into, she thought. Hoped.

 

Continued from last post(Gorin's office):

Gorin: Then, I had better contact the shuttles headding for the settlement. Gorin out.

Gorin activated the communication frequentcy for the shuttles heading for the settlement.

The place in the sky where the shuttles and fighters were finding each other:

The fighters had caught up the shuttles just as the stroom trooper captian heard the shuttles communicator beep.

Gorin: Captian are you there?

Storm trooper captian: yes sir.

Gorin:how many servivors can 4 of your shuttles take from the settlement?

Storm Trooper Captian: about 60 due to losses in battle and earthquakes.

Gorin: Good, have 2 of the medical shuttles head for space. One is to go to my ship and the other to the half completed carrier. The landing bay, engines and quarters are functional and have atmosphere. Also get all the servivors up here as fast as you can they are in great danger. Gorin out.

Strom trooper captain:Shuttles fun and junk head for space with 4 of the ties as escourts. Shuttle fun go to Gorins ship and shuttle junk head for the half completed carrier ship. The rest of you follow me.

Yes Sir the lead troopers on those shuttles said as 4 of the 12 ties in Denevon's square seperated and headed for space.

At the settlement:

The only serviving stroom trooper officer, with the 3 other surviving troopers had gathered the other 46 servivors in the settlement together as 2 women and a little girl joined them as they stumbled out of the forest. The Stroom trooper lutenant hoped the shuttles would arrive soon.

 

As Ballin was being carried off the shuttle he awoke and saw Jo-Ni with the big cats she was always with. A weak smile crossed his lips as he remembered how awful he was to her and how much he cared about her well-being now.

"Take care," he coughed to her, "I don't want to have to chase you down again." He winked at her as he was lead away.

 

"I don't want to have to chase you down again." Major Ballin told her as he was taken away.

"What was that about?" she wondered. "And that wink?"

Though it took her by suprise, she felt her face getting warm as she began to blush.

She quickly shook the feeling away and got her mind back on important things. Like, getting Shasta and Jazier off the shuttle and to a place they won't get in trouble.

As she led the cats, she thought about Ballin and a smile came to her lips.

 

Ballin was wisked away and placed in a Bacta tank to recover.

OOC: Just needed to be done. I can't think of anything else intil some time passes RP time wise, when he's out of the tank.

 

Jo-Ni went to Gorin to find out where she could put the cats. He was quite helpful, and even gave them some meat to eat. When Jo-Ni was sure they would be okay, she left to the infirmany.

She looked as Ballin floated in the tank. What were these feelings she felt when she thought about him? She couldn't possibly be in love with him.

Could she?

All she knew was he had to be okay. She had to find out what the feelings were, and to do that, she had to talk to him.

 

The next day:

Ballin was out of the tank for now. he had the bitter Bacta tste in his mouth but was glad for the treatment even if a few more were needed.
His idle mind wandered about thinking about peolpe, places, things and Jo-Ni. He didn't know why he thought about her so much. Maybe he was the captivity with the Rebels.

The sound of some one entering his room raised his hopes but he was let down to see a Med droid and not the shapely form of Jo-Ni...

 

OOC: Jediloren, I think you can finish off the colony, and C3PX and I can finish up the thread. We're getting something interesting going on now.

IC: Jo-Ni sat on her cot with a cat on either side of her. At the begining of this adventure, she had felt a connection to Gorin, but now, she realized she did have feelings for Major Ballin.

The previous night, she had left the infirmary only when the med droids threatened to sedate her, and only after being assured that Ballin would be okay.

Her mind wandered to other things. What would she do when they left orbit of the colony world and she stood before that Admiral again? What would he do with, or to, her?
Perhaps, Jazier and Shasta would kill him so she wouldn't have to worry about it. Perhaps that would get them killed.

She lay, thinking over these problems in her head, formulating a plan for her life, such as it is.

 

OOC:That sounds good. Both of you are getting ahead of me. That is OK!! I will catch up.

in orbit:

The admiral left his office and went to the bridge. He wondered how the rescue mission was going as he watch a shuttle go to Gorin's ship and 4 ties and another shuttle go to the half completed carrier ship. He then went to his command chair and actived the communication channel to Cursanunt.

Admiral: Is our senitor there?

The senitor's figure appeared in holo form.

Senitor Amory: What is wrong? I just got out of my meeting.

Admiral: We are abonding this planet. The settlement has been all but destroyed by an earthquake and tide waves are forming even as we speak. It has proven to be too unstable for us to remain here inform you supperier in the senate.

senitor Amory: I guess my carrer as a senitor is over. I will miss it. Thank you for informing me of this information. I will find another job. out.

The senitors form faded.

AT the settlement:

The 4 shuttles landed and 8 ties stayed air born.

Deneveon: ordered "All pilots keep your eye sharp for rebel activity and anything unusual." as she and her pilots noticed huge waves coming closer to the settlement.

On the ground:

The storm trooper captain left his shuttle to organize the evacuation of the settlement. The serviving lutenant in charge came up to him.

The Lutenant:Thank goodness you are here.

Storm trooper captain: do you know how many cridical injured are still alive?

The Lutenant:about 15 to 20. The rest of us only recieved minor cuts and bruses since we were outside of any structure.

Stroom Trooper captain: Good! that many can fit into one shuttle and the rest will be able to leave quickly.

The Lutenant: Why are we in such a hurry to leave?

Storm trooper captain: There is a tide wave coming and soon. The sooner we are off the ground and into space the better.

 

Wondering if she would be allowed to see Ballin, Jo-Ni returned to the Infirmary. She hoped the droids wouldn't kick her out again.

 

Jo-Ni was surprised to find that the droids had been ordred to admit her.

Ballin sat back on his cot, eyes closed, resting for yet an nother day in the tank.

 

She quietly walked up to Ballin.

"How are you feeling?" she asked softly, concern in her voice.

 

"Better. I can stand for short times now," he chuckled warmly.
"I've been wanting to see you and again thank you for saving me back there."

 

"I felt I had to. I feel responsible for getting you caught in the first place. I should not have shot you with the dart."

Jo-Ni was feeling bad for her earlier behavior, though she was justified in feeling that way.

"Oh, Ballin, I'm so sorry."

 

"It's alright. They'll give me a medal for not breaking and I'll recover from this," he waved a ahnd over himself. "I think this wouldn't have happen if I didn't suspect you of everything before." He met her gaze, his eyes full of regret. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry for all that I did to you and what I did to that cat."

 

Coruscant:

Senator Amory made his way from the communications center to the emperor's office and found Polok still there going over a few reports.

Polok: What is wrong Amory?

Amory: The colony is being abondoned due to an earthquake a exsesive sizemic activity.

Polok: What type of sizemic activity?

Amory: earthquakes and tidal waves.

Polok: That is not good. We will need to find another planet for survivors to go to once they come back here and so you can keep your senate seat.

Amory: Lets get working on it. They will be back here in less than a week.

The settlement on the colonized world:

Most of the survivors loaded quickly, because they only had minor bumps and bruses. There were however a few serious injury cases. they were taking longer to get ready for departure.

Strom trooper Captian: How is the evacuation proceeding?

Strom trooper lutenant: Very well, 2 of the 4 shuttles with 4 ties have already taken off and yours is ready to go. The only delay is the most serious injury cases and they will be ready within about 10 minutes for transport.

Strom Trooper Captain: "good. The sooner we are gone from here the better." he then activated his comlink and contacted Denevon. "how do things look from where you are?

Denevon: Not good. The waves are getting bigger and a very large one is on its way. I expect it will hit the settlement in less than an hour.

Storm Trooper Captian: We will be leaving in about 10 minutes, out.

We better had he thought as he boarded his shuttle and helping a few of the seriously wounded abort as he did.

The Admirals flag ship:

When Dobar boarded the ship he had felt sick and went to the ships infirmary instead of the admiral's office. There he fell to the ground and was non responsive to the medics.

After treatment for a stomach elment that was serious he came to and was released. Not finding the admiral at his office he went to the bridge and found the finishing a communication with Senator Amory.

Dobar: Sir may I be of help to you?

Admiral: Yes, I would like you to help Gorin in quardinating were the servivors of the colony will go to and aid in their recovery from the earthquake that hit it today. You will need to take a shuttle over the carrier to do so. good luck.

Dobar: yes, sir!

He could not believe the sight from the shuttles co-pilot seat as they flew over to the carrier. little red spots were popping up all over the planet below. How could this have happened he thought.

 

"You are right about that. Just because I was sent here because I'm a theif, it really doesn't mean I stole those goods. And I know that you were just trying to protect me from Jazier. I should tell you, the cat you shot decided to follow me around, just like Shasta. I really don't understand why, but I think I can use their loyalty. If I survive another encounter with the Admiral I stole from."

 

"Don't worry about any Admirals. Just lay low and don't cross his path." He sat up farther. "And if he tries something call me. I'm pretty good in a fight."

 

"Thankyou. I feel better knowing you will stand up for me. Maybe I can pass off for one of the casualties." Jo-Ni smiled.
