SWRPF Archive Colonization of a new world

IC:

"Well first off, from what I've seen here, you have to be smart to even be here. Second, we all get caught doing something that other people don't want us doing. This one time, me and my buddy at the Academy thought it was a fun joke to program a black protocal droid to go around shouting threats to kill everyone in the middle of the night in one of our other friends bunk. So obviously, he thought it was some kind of assassin droid," as Rik said this he laughed, "we eventually got caught and was almost courtmartialed..." Rik finished the blood sampling and sat back.

"That was the last night we all spent together.. Well anyways, the point is we all do things in our life that we later regret. Its just a matter of how we deal with the consequences... So, I noticed your black eye and your bruises. You want me to fix them up for you?

 

Jo-Ni laughed along as Rik told the story.

"Yes, I guess you're right. The bruises are begining to heal, but they could use some help. They also hurt my knee, but it feels lots better today."

Jo-Ni's features suddenly went from cheerful to disturbed, and she placed a hand over her stomache.

 

"What's wrong?!" said Rik as he looked worried.

 

"I don't know. I suddenly feel queezy. And hot. So hot." Jo-Ni told Rik.

Jo-Ni closed her eyes tight, trying to clear her head. She found herself so dizzy and feverish. The feeling in her stomach didn't help either. And around the scratch felt like it may as well be on fire.

 

IC: "Commander Deneveon?" A lower-class officer asked behind her.

"What is it?" Deneveon was still grumpy over her confrontation with the mechanic earlier.

"The scouting group that was sent out is missing..."

"WHAT?!" She whirled to meet the officer's eyes. "Couldn't you incompetent idiots handle an easy task like watching over them on radar? You're as stupid as those Rebels!"

She pushed him aside and strode quickly to the control room.

 

"Sithspit!" said Rik as he ran over to Jo-Ni's side to help her. "Here, lay down if you can.." Rik thummed his comlink and said, "I need MTB here now!"

After getting acknowledgements, Rik turned his attention to Jo-Ni, looked at her for a second, felt her head, then ran over to the sink. He got a towel, drenched it in cold water, ran back and put it on Jo-Ni's forehead.

As he did this, Medic Team Beta, consisting of two male doctors, a female nurse, and 4 droids, came rushing in.

"What is it chief?" asked one of the other doctors.

"She has a high fever and her stomach seems to be contracting. Give her a shot of IB-140 and put the RX over her head. And apply some Povidone over her wound to prevent it from burning the way she seems to be feeling," said Rik as he looked at his patients life monitor.

Rik wondered what was wrong with her..

 

IC: Deneveon entered the control room in a hurry.

"Okay, what's the situation fellas?" She asked.

"Commander, a squad of five TIE's are missing. They went MIA in the southern vector."

"Sith spit. Get me a fighter ready and call out my squadron."

The officer nodded and Deneveon turned to the holomap before her.

 

OOC: Cool, Im back Giants won, and you have kept it all going for me, thanks guys.

IC: Admiral Maylestrom frowned as the officer before him told of the communcation from the ground about missing TIEs. "I want those TIEs foudn, and quickly, I do not have the resorces to lose these fighters, I will be upset if they are lost." The officer nodded and with a salute retreated out the door and back to his post. turning to an Aide he handed him a datapad. "I want you to contact the captin of the uh, well that other dreadnaught we are keeping." The aide opened his mouth to give the name but the Admiral waved his hand. "Tell him I wish to meet him on his ship for a meal and an inspection of the ship, and I wish to meet him as soon as possible." THe aide nodded then left to dispatch the message.

 

IC:

Gorin recived the dispatch about the admiral coming over to his ship. he had the techs check every system on the ship while he and most of the other crewmen prepared a dining hall. it was very elaborate and the best food was prepared for the admiral.With the new supplies from the other ships they were able to make in very well done. Now all they waited for was the admiral's shuttle. The honor gaurd stood ready and they waited for the admiral.

Jo-Ni lay down, feeling she would fall over. She hoped the new position would help. It did not. She felt the towel being placed on her head. It felt so good to her. She tried to focus on the coolness, but too soon, it melted into the warmth of her body. She heard Rik calling out orders, but she couldn't understand what was being said. Soon, she was unconscious.

Around her, Jo-Ni saw many of the cats like the one she encountered the previous night. They all looked at her, and as she looked around, she saw there was no way to escape them. As the cats looked at her, she thought one spoke to her.

"Jo-Ni Shawa, you have been initiated into our kind. You have been deemed worthy to join us." it said through a closed mouth.

Before she could wonder what this meant, she noticed a change. Her skin grew black and grey fur. Her hands became paws, and claws extended from them. A tail grew on her, and in moments, she looked just like the other cats.

"The change has taken place. You are now a Galiar." the cats chanted.

The dream faded, and Jo-Ni's fevered body grew calm.

OOC: all that's in italics is just a dream.

 

IC: Deneveon boarded a TIE Advanced fighter and flew out of the docking bay follwed by seven other TIE's.

"I want maintained radio contact with base," she ordered through the comm, "Lurz, you're in charge of that. All TIE's follow my lead and don't get lost."

 

The admiral took his time getting ready then the shuttle also took a slow pointless route, giving people on the ship to get nervous and fidgity. he smiled to himself as he looked out the window to the large Dreandaught looming closer. He enjoyed making them nervous, always liked the looks on their faces when he finally arived and how they would still be on their toes till he left. The shuttle slowly entered the bay and then just as slowly came down to land. He moved to the top of the ramp, flanked by two aides. when the ramp finally lowered all of the way he started his walk down it.

 

His patient calmed. The monitor showed nothing unusual. The Medic Team finished what they had started then quietly left.

Rik stayed behind and fixed up Jo-Ni's bruises. Technology had advanced in the last several years and now, with the press of a button, bruises could be healed.

He put a medic droid on station and went to the cafeteria for some drinks.

 

Ballin sat in his tent, bitter that his defensive supplies had been lost.
"How will this base stand up without surface defence."
He walked out of his tent looking for someone to blame

 

Reaching the bottom of the ramp the Admiral froze, his two aides to his side and a couple steps behind. He let his cold gaze make its way around the room as he waited the captain to step forward and greet him.

 

Jo-Ni slowly opened her eyes, not sure what had happened to her. She felt cold now, the fever having broken. She sits up, and feeling fine, carefully stands. She looks at her arm and found the bruise from the restraints was gone.

She began to walk around, finding her head didn't hurt as much now. But what was that she heard about the defenses?

Jo-Ni suddenly remembered what they were talking about before the fever came on. She began to laugh aloud.

"I broke his nose good."

 

Rik came back with two cups of hot caf to see Jo-Ni up.

"Hey. You're up. I brought you a cup of caf. It'll help suppress any after effects from the treatments you were given," said Rik as he handed her the cup. "So how are you?"

 

IC:

Gorin Stepped forward and saw te admiral Calmly surveying the honor gaurd. He walked upto the shutle and bowed slightly. He stood up and said, "Welcome Admiral ((Insert his name here)) Welcome to he DREAD Incriminating. We have prepared a specil meal for you if you would like to attend."

OOC: heh I had the admirals name in one of my other posts, Ill just have to go get it sometime.


IC: "Thank you captain, We would be glad to attead the meal." He nodded to one aid who started writing somthing down onto the pad, while the second one returned to the shuttle to wait.

 

the Captian and a smaller honor Gaurd of men escorted the Admiral to the Dining hall while the rest of the Honor gaurd went scurrying to help serve or to return to their duty stations. For once the ship worked like clockwork and nothing was going unnoticed.

The Captain and the Admiral entered the dining hall and even the captian, who had seen the set up before, was amazed. the tabe was long and made of what seemed to be real blackwood. A rare wood found only on Kahsyyyk and not allowed off planet according to the wookies, though the Imperial Government had no qualms about allowing it's officers to take it off world. Candles adorned the walls and table, the candelabra's made of Iridum, a clear sparkiling metal, though fairly common, it was still very beutiful. the Silverware was real Silver and the plates were well made china. The Center peice on the table was a thing the captian had personally givin to the preparers to use. It was a growth of gold in a cyrtalin form, about 3 feet in diamiter and shaped like a hemisphere it glittered in the condellight and the well hidden artificial lights. There were 4 seats prepared as they expected the other aide to come but just as the cpatian brought the admiral to his seat at the head of the table someone ran out and quickly gathered the extra chair and exited the room with it.

"Well Admiral, what do you think?" tha captian said as he sat down.

"Very exquisit(SP?) Captain." He sat down in the chair looking over the table. "very fine indeed." He leaned back a little and waited for dinner to arrive.

 

Jo-Ni accepted the caf.

"Thank you. Though I feel unusually well right now. I don't feel any ill effects or anything. I nearly feel downright giddy. I noticed you fixed my bruises. Is my black eye gone too? I want to see."

 

"Yeah, youre eye is all good," said Rik as he reached into a cabinet to get a mirror. "Here," said Rik as he handed Jo-Ni the mirror.

 

Jo-Ni looked at herself in the mirror, and, sure enough, the black eye was healed. There was no trace of it. Jo-Ni smiled big as she began to put the mirror down, but then she decided to take another look. Something was not quite right. As she looked into the mirror a second time, she looked at her eyes.

"This can't be." she said, confused. "My eyes are supposed to be green and gold. Not red and green."

As she said this, Jo-Ni remembered the dream she had. Quickly, she felt around to make sure she wasn't growing a tail. She felt her face for whiskers, then looked at her arm, glad to see it wasn't growing grey and black fur.

"But, in the dream, all their eyes were red. It isn't happening. I'm not changing into one of them, I can't be." she said aloud.

Jo-Ni closed her eyes tightly, then looked again.

They were still red and green.

OOC: Happy B-Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just realized I didnt say that in the other thread, so Im making up for it here. *wheels out a giant cake* I wish you could enjoy this cake but at the short notice, all it is, is cardboard and frosting. but give me some time and we can have a real one soon.
