"only use "color" in HTML and POV-Ray, and occasionally in Scrabble if I don't have a U."

    [face_laugh] Good one.

I'm intrigued by a common misconception that American English is more efficient by virtue of dropping the 'u' from 'colour' or the 'me' at the end of 'programme', or spelling 'disc' 'disk'. Could this be the same version of English by which a break-in at one's house might be described as an attempt to 'burglarise' it? Surely not.

Surely the word 'says' would have been more efficient, mate.

Well, I suppose you've saved enough time to do it, having cut out all those unnecessary 'u's.

I wonder if it could be calculated mathematically?

That's some pretty nifty maths, mate. I imagine the labour-saving measures employed by the USA as a whole are what permitted the nation to divert its time away from doing actual writing, and instead hone them towards a project like the devolopment of a pen that writes in zero gravity.

Okay, point taken you Americans don't speak "proper" English. :)

But history-wise, we were around before you, therefore colour would have been around first. So the correct answer is COLOUR. ;)

Oh, and Mr Lucas just took two words and put them together for his "lightsaber". However, just like colour, "sabre" has been around here for centuries, therefore would also apply to "lightsabre"... just as it does in the books here. :D :D

Man! The english lang_age is one of the most f_cked _p lang_ages in the world. (I'm from America, and protesting the _se of the letter U. :D)

I wo_ld like to thank England for all of the words that _nnecessaily have U's in them, and the "r" before "e" spelling of words that are s_pposed to end with an "er" so_nd, and not a "rey" so_nd. (Isn't that some kind of spelling r_le, "r" before "e" except when you live in America!)

I like "Color" and I like "Lightsaber." O_r changes to the english lang_age j_st went along with o_r independence from England.

    B_t then again, I'm j_st a bloody Yank, so what do I know? :D
