Tidewater, VA Combined VA/DC FanForce, MFC, 501st and Rebel Legion Halloween Party

At this Saturday's meeting of the Moisture Farm Co-Op in Richmond, VA...we all decided to do our annual 2002 Halloween Party at Chopstix in Richmond on October 19th and invite the 501st, Rebel Legion, and the DC Fanforce and Norfolk Fan Force. I'm putting down the payment next week and picking up a menu so we'll all know what the cost for food will be, and drinks, etc. BTW Alchohol is available and this would be an 18+ over event.

This would be a great opportunity for all of Virginia to meet up at one location, meet each other and have a great time doing so.
We hope you all will attend.

Dancing, Karaoke (Star Wars of course), fan Star Wars Poetry, etc. are just some of the festivities planned for the evening. It will all start sometime around 9:00-9:30 once their first floor clears out.

It will be costumed, and tickets will be printed for our groups to keep the event private from the general public.

There has been a change regarding the costumed Halloween party in Richmond. The party will be for all-ages. Alchohol will still be available for purchase, but there was some concern from several of our members who didn't like the exclusivity of it being 18 and older.

Also, there will not be tickets. We've decided to make it easier by taking names. Starting October 5th, the DC and Norfolk Fan Forces may submit lists of members who plan to attend. The Rebel Legion and 501st VA chapters will do the same. First come, first served. We only have room for 100 people. You may bring friends and family members, but you must include your name and how many guests you plan on bringing.

Doors will open at 9:30pm. For those attending the MFC meeting at 8:00pm, you are welcome to attend. It is a private meeting, but anyone may attend. No alchohol will be served prior to 9:30pm.

If you would like to bring food to share, please contact me separately. We will welcome any help, however food is available at the restaurant. It is Vietnamese cuisine.

We recommend the Holiday Inn Crossroads or the Comfort Inn Conference Center as they are the closest to the party and convenient to I-64/95.

to clarify a bit....an second the point...the meeting is for coop members and those interested in becoming a member.

Please leave your prop weapons at home. Due to the recent events in the northern Virginia area, there's been some concern over having weapons at the party. Please be sensitive to the nature of this request, so that everyone can have a really great time.
