Hmm, I might have to organise an 'excursion' for me and my students ;)

fwiw, Sean is a fantastic writer (he's written *a lot* more than just Star Wars stuff). He's also an excellent speaker, be it on writing, how he grew up, or why he likes Star Wars. Lots of stories from going to the US and the ranch.

Oh well, at least I know he'll be in Adelaide around then. My plans for a pre-EpIII shinding are falling in to place. Exxxcellllent. :)

Hmmm, if you guys go in costume, I might be able to skive off work for an hour or so and take photos. And chat to Sean to ask if he wants to be invovled in a pre-Episode III shindig...

I think you should investigate this A-D. I should be able to invest some time for this one. In fact, with the right gear I could be the suavest and bravest Tie Pilot you've ever seen. :D

think someone needs a new vest??? :D

I'll let you know on this one, it's after Uni goes back, and well....I could be a little busy, as I've just found out that most of my courses this semester involve group work and going into schools to do research.

Sean Williams is also going to be at Conclave later in the year, which I'm definitely going to go to. I heard a rumour that they are having a costume competition on the Saturday night. Excuse to wear a costume = yay! The trouble is deciding which one to wear. lol :D

OK, I spoke to Helen Bonet today, she is organising this come out event. And she would Dearly love to have us come along in costume!!! There is a catch. It's on Friday the 18th of March, starting at 11am and finishing at 1.15pm. Three sessions and the worst part. She cannot get us in for free. But she says it's only $5.50 entry and we will get to meet Sean Williams and probably be able to get our books signed. ;) :D She told me that she and Sean were trying to encourage young people along to listen and learn about writing and writers. She feels we may add a element of excitment to this event if we can attend.

So now I need numbers. Who's in? Who can get time off work to attend? Even one session would be good. She has sent me a pile of information, so those interested, PM me and we will talk!

Oh, and as this is an official Come Out Festival event, she says she thinks teachers won't mind kids missing school for it! :p
