I think that's the only time "I still like Michael Bay" was ever used in a sentence. :p

Yet another glance over-the-shoulder butt shot [face_plain] Is there no other way to depict women in movie promos?

There was an awesome Terminator skull and you were looking at her butt?

i especially love that for a supposedly superintelligent computer system, skynet keeps following the same exact plan with very little deviation, despite the fact that their plan fails every single time.

well, i guess they could have had her pants down around her ankles and a dil half-stuck in her butt. that's a different way.

we were made to look at her butt. because english is read left-to-right, movie posters are generally designed to be read clockwise. in this case, it means: title, ass, skull.

    also, this:

I definitely vibe more on the dynamism of the teaser poster as opposed to the butt-shot angle. The severed, kinda screaming "Ow!" Terminator head behind held in an idyllic American cornfield sunset is what stands out to me personally, love the juxtaposition. The fact that she's sort of just holding it down to the side instead of looking at it head on is also kind of like she's done it before and it's no biggie, all in a day's work.

I didn't notice the butt on the poster until the butt on the poster was mentioned, now I can't see anything but the butt. on the poster. thanks

I think also placing the POV behind contributes the casual, tossed off vibe to Sarah Connor holding the head as opposed to if it was from the front. While there is a "look at her butt" aspect to the framing, I don't think it's as shameless as the infamous Black Widow on the Avengers poster fighting butt-first.

No, I'm pointing out that, when it comes to displaying women...

    ...the pose...

    ...is more than...

    ...a little over-used...

....even in kids' movies. Its kinda bothersome, at least to me.

The Black Widow Avengers and Divergent ones I think you can definitely call shenanigans on that. Do think it works for the Terminator poster, though, but it is definitely an overused pose. But don't think it's as blatant as the first two.

But I'm sure no one has a problem with Hawkeye's arrow coming right out of his crotch.

Also, he seems to be floating above the rubble beneath him, but that's a whole nother issue.

I'm just wondering how John Connor came about in the original, original timeline. If Kyle Reese was his father via time travel, then all Skynet has to do is NOT try to kill Sarah Connor in the past. No attempt, no Kyle Reese in the past, no John Connor. Of course, that's how the Terminator would've ended in 1 minute. :p

As much as I think this film is going to suck, I'm quietly pleased that the guys at the gym are arranging to go see it and I'll feel 'obliged' to go with. Because Arnie.

Genuinely hope they do a good job of King Conan, though. My jimmies will be rustled if they don't.

I've come to grips with the fact that the Terminator franchise is never going to be as good as the first two movies were. So if Terminator Genisys is just okay I'll be happy, and it seems like a decent Star Trekky type premise, if not entirely original. I have a feeling Schwarzenegger will be playing Terminator roles into his 100s.
