I don't know why prep is necessary. Ares' offense is largely ineffective, and it gives Mason plenty of time to become more...inventive.

 

Not as inventive as Ares is at killing Rex, clearly. He takes pleasure in guttin' you, boy...

Also metamorphing power ranger is way more inventive. Please look at any and all of their showings.

Ares has one option here: physical assault. This will fail.

The issue is Magik is TP-immune. So that eliminates like half of Maxima's skillset -- no mind control, psychic blasts, etc. -- if she can beat an anti-magic hard-counter as a prepped teleporter, dealing with the other half of Maxima's skill set shouldn't be difficult (just rating how they've been judging her).

 

Show me the last time Magik took on anyone close to being a kryptonian level teleporter with massive TK ability outside of Limbo. As a power set magic is cool and all, except when it isn't.

I don't see why Jean would need prep to be any better than she is without it. What does prep give her?

they stop parasite how? he can absorb pretty much any type of energy from radiation to life to kinetic. what, precisely, is that group going to do to him?

 

He's primarily, as I understand it, a life-force stealer with an ancillary benefit of being able to absorb energy directly targetted against him (or, in Monica's unfortunate case, if she turns into said energy) not that he's like Radioactive Man and can do a flat-drain and control of any energy.

So robotic lifeforms should be his hard counter as they do not have life-forces to drain (unless they are stupid enough to direct energy at him).

 

which... pretty much anything that they're going to do to stop him is, in some variation. if they hit him, that's kinetic energy. if they try to zap him, that's energy of some sort. what can they do to stop him? you still haven't exactly said that.

 

What? He doesn't absorb kinetic energy. He's not that kind of energy dude, unless I'm fundamentally misunderstanding everything about him.

Much like Sebastian Shaw absorbs kinetic and sucks with actual beam energy, even Radioactive Man doesn't absorb kinetic energy and he's a more-rounded energy drain/manipulate person.

Parasite is more like Selene, with ancillary powers, by all accounts.
