San Diego, CA Comic Con 2006 July 19th - 23rd!

Do to me getting a new job now and the fact that I won't have time off during week days for the first year I will only be at Con Saturday and Sunday. FYI. I still plan to volunteer at our table though.

 

Well I found out I don't have to take the summer course I was expecting to, so I will be able to attend all the days of Con!!!

 

San Fran is buying? LOL! So this is what happens on the San Diego end of the message board

Thought I'd check in because I'm part of the SF group going to Comic Con. I'll also be hanging with some friends from Seattle so I hope we can all crash your dinner!

Just hope that I will be able to get out of my responsibilities in time for dinner. Last year, I showed up at the end of the dinner

Well, Tulare County is planing on being at Comic Con so we look forward to seeing everyone and the SF bunch also.

We usually eat at the Greek Islands cafe in Sea Port Village. There's a pizza shack next door as well.

 

That's what the food capsules on our belts are for, Master!

 

But that's like worse than cafeteria food!

 

ummm... cafeteria food... fat+grease+carbs o'loving=fun for all!

 

But at the Pizza place, BEWARE TEH CHEESE OF DOOM!

 

With all these groups showing up, it looks like we'll need a bigger restaurant!

Trust me, after all the walking you will do during the Con, you will lose weight. If you want to do EXTRA walking, drop me a line...hehehe

last major con I went to - for work - I lost 10lbs in the 5 days I was there. I walked everywhere. From my hotel to the con center, to anywhere I ate and all over Disneyland and 4 days at the actual convention... it was great!

I'm really looking forward to it. I just saw that Ray Bradbury is going to be there, I was hoping he would be going again. Need to dig out my old Farhenheit

 

Think of this way, I think I walked 7 to 10 miles before Thursday of Con. Thanks to the wonderful cooking my fiancee does, I have lost weight. Now to lose more during the show...

 

Depends what time and day you're flying it.

Varz, sorry to say, we won't be there on Tuesday. We're taking our lot up to Disneyland.

I'll have to find out what time all of my crew is all flying out (there's 4 of them going to 3 different places. Oye vey), but if they all leave earlier than that, then sure.


And Alex, why not both? I'm doing at least 3 costumes for Con.
