Ok so I'm online today and decide to get a room at the Embassy Suites. This is where I want to stay due to them having a free happy hour each night from 5-7. I actually got a room for Wed and Thurs, but nothing else. I asked to be put on the wait list to see if a Friday Saturday room opened. If not no harm but if so yay!

Free happy hour? That rocks. Just considering booze, I wish there were another Celebration in Indy, with its cheap drinks.

When I saw that I almost had a heart attack. LA was a lousy place for CIV. LA just isn't a con town. I'd love Chicago or Baltimore (since I've never been to Baltimore and how much fun would it be to sing, Good morning Baltimore?)

Back to Comic-Con, does anyone know if there will be any cool panels yet? I would consider going again to see a Twilight (New Moon) panel but it was so crazy last year I'm not sure I want to endure it. I can't think of any movies that are coming out after CC that would warrant a visit.

I agree DH. I have no idea what the panels are going to be like.

Baltimore is a HORRIBLE place for a convention. The convention center is in the middle of the financial district or something, there's no hotels nearby, no restaurants, nothing to do. It's an incredibly small convention center at that.

We were just at a con in Baltimore - actually within walking distance of our hotel! There were nice restaurants too. Maybe it's changed since you were there last. The convention center is a little small though, but it was really pretty. Actually the whole area was pretty! Yeah, they must have moved it or something! :)

Me too! LOL @ different perceptions! I agree though that it's too small for CV...

Chicago is a great town though. I kind of remember it being out in the sticks though. I just want to go back to Chicago some day. I've never been to Baltimore though.

What movies do you think will be hawked at Comic-Con this summer?

DH, all panels are under review right now. People have to submit the panels to a board, then they pick which ones that they like, or want or feel will get the most people, whatevs so panel info won't happen for quite a while.

Twilight is the first vampire film where I'm rooting for the other side, the Werewolves. I think Rob Pattison is not an attractive guy at all. He looks dirty and his acting is so mediocre. I'm all about the Native American tribe. Go USA! hehe!

Is there anyone who has a four day pass for Comic Con who is not going on Sunday? My Friend April is willing to pay the full price of a Sunday ticket to the person who can help her with that. Please PM me.

I just found out that I'll get to go to CC this year, courtesy of the company I'm temping for. Sorry can't say which for obvious reasons. But I'll be getting a weekend pass, should the marketing lady I spoke to remember I wanted to go. And if they're short staffed, I'll get to volunteer at their booth :D and their cool booth shirt for volunteering.
