TPM had the '1st SW film in 20 years AND it's the 1st prequel AND it'll be great' factor in its favour!
So far, the only big news I've seen out of CE is that KK confirmed that John Williams will return to score the ST. This is good news, undoubtedly, but I'd like *something* with a little more oomph. There was also some stuff about the new Rebels cartoon - art, logo, etc. http://starwars.com/news/star-wars-...ars-rebels-logo-art-and-details-revealed.html
Ok, that is some nice concept art, always happy to see ships. Well, as long as those ships don't cause too many retcons or themselves aren't retconned out in later seasons anyway.
It is reassuring to hear John Williams will be returning for the sequels, even though his involvement won't necessarily save the rest of the movie in the worst case scenario (sure didn't save the prequels, although at least the themes were always excellent).
When is Chee's Holocron presentation?
Not Gozanti cruisers, but similar. I really dig that design.
@AdmiralNick22 - or any mod - I'm assuming it's ok to use this thread for CE news (and D23), despite it being titled for SDCC.
Absolutely! I have edited the thread title to reflect that.
I'm no longer concerned about animation shortcuts for Rebels; those shots look awesome.
Oh man, the Empire just pissed off the Killiks...
"Is this going to be a stand up fight, sir, or another bug hunt?"
The Killiks are going to be like, "We miss the days when we were among the Sith Lords."
Celebration Europe III:
Filoni: "Yeah, that wasn't my idea about putting cyborg Queen Karina and the surviving Geonosians on Alderaan. That was Lucas's. But look at it this way: at least we saved the part about rubbing forearms together. That scene when the Alderaanians make peace with the Geonosians at the end was pretty cute, am I right?"
Did Chee ever give his Holocron presentation?
Supposedly it was at the same time as the Rebels presentation, which would explain why we haven't heard much about it. Apparently the European Celebration has panel schedulers that are just as terrible as the American one.
So nobody saw it?
I have to admit, it will be really nice to see TIEs on screen again.
I'm hoping those ships are Imperial in origin, if only to get a few more Imperial designs in big screen/small screen canon.
Then it didn't happen.
Yes it did happen, even if nobody saw it.
Is this a serious statement? If it is, I disagree.
I REALLY wish Chee would tweet about something other than his Ewok fetish.
Schrodinger's Nexu is dead.
