Ahhhh!!! Comic-con looked so fun. I wish I could go there Bad timing with my trip. The pictures are great. I can believe that so many stars went there. I missed my by Brandon & spiderman crew . Hopefully next year I can make it
Speaking of convention, what about wondercom for next year? anyone important will come? Humm Maybe the Spiderman team & Transformers

Well, with all the fun stories I told them at our meeting this weekend, they are all sufficiently jealous and should be going to C4 next year. Although I failed to mention SOME of the details. (In my pants!)

Also, I know guys like Slave Leia - but this girl really should do an Ep I Padme costume if she has not already. Her face really reminds me of the younger Natalie Portman.

It looks like you guys had a blast!! I'm sorry I had to miss it. Maybe next year, I'd rather go to this than C4...

Carrie Fisher looks great too! I'm glad to see her looking well. How was she in person?

 

Our encounter with Carrie was pretty quick. They really kept the line moving. We were waiting in line before she arrived, and when she walked by us she kind of stared at the 3 of us in our Leia costumes. My friend waved and she waved back. Apparently Anne said she heard her say she liked our costumes when we got to her table, but none of us in costume heard her say that at all. She was pleasant, but really didn't say anything other than "How do you spell that" when we asked her to make the autographs out to us. Heck, at least she bent her 'no photo rule' for us and actually kind of hugged my friend Sister_Sola.

I think someone dressed as Ayla Secura actually got a good reaction from Carrie and more than a "Is that with a Y?". I believe they told us she said she really was impressed with her costume and commented on the Lekku.

I forgot her name, but her and her dad (Michael?)were three doors down from us at the Omni. Everytime we came and went, they did too. He works for Hasbro and was her personal bodyguard at CC On that Friday, we all went into the elevator and her costume broke. Her string broke on her Bikini Luckily it was in the elevator and on their way back to the room. Her dad was joking, if it happened outside, there would be pictures posted of her all over the internet by the time we reached our floor hahaha

 

Wow, Kathy! Whoever took those pictures must be some sort of professional photographer or something, I mean, the composition, the lighting... (j/k).

But back to our "slave girl". I think her name was Sarah or Zara (?). I can't recall exactly, because I was too busy looking at her face (yes, her face). It wasn't until after I'd taken a picture with her, that I realized why I was looking at her face: Natalie Portman! I mean, even the mole on her left cheek is in the same place. Creepy (but still hot!) But I did recommend her to submit her photo to www.leiasmetalbikini.com.

Elton, my good man, WHY didn't you get me to get stuck in that elevator with her? I had a whole roll of quick fix-it tape that I was just waiting to use that weekend.

While we're on the subject of Natalie, I bought the 2-disc edition of "V For Vendetta" today. I was watching the featurette on the "new age" of comics. Take a look at the background behind the people being interviewed. It looks oddly famliar.


Sorry about not contacting you about the photos of Daniel and Amy, Kathy. We had to do it quickly, when there was a short break between autographs. I was shocked when I asked her to take a photo holding up the shirt, when she volunteered to actually put it on, doing various poses! I was like .

Oh, and I still need to get you pictures from "Superman Returns" & "Pirates" too.

 

Wow, cool dad not to mind his daughter dressing as Slave Leia. I was going to say, she looked young (hence reminding me more of epI Padme I think), but then again StarSmuggler looks young and she's 18.

There's an article on Comic-Con in the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly (Samuel L. Jackson cover) about what's coming out in 2007. The article may bother 501st members because it shows a trooper witht the wrong blaster and shoes! FYI, next year also marks the 25th anniversary of E.T., Blade Runner, and The Dark Crystal. I also caught a blurb that tomorrow night that Access Hollywood would have footage as well.

 

Anyone with Tivo? Tonight they're showing "Star Wars vs. Star Trek", and I was interviewed at Comic-Con by someone asking me which was better, but I'm not sure if this is it. Can someone record it anyway?
