Hotel reservations are now open for Comic-Con.

As of January 14, hotels started taking reservations, so jump in while you can!

You can call the Comic-Con Housing Desk at this number:
    1-877-552-6642

or visit The Comic-Con webpage for details and online reservations.

**This information was sent out on a Comic-Con postcard - my apologies if you already had this info. :)

Something that might be of interest for potential Dragoncon attendees...

I was doing research into cheap fares from Phoenix to Atlanta for an unrelated con in April, and since Orbitz shows fares of over $400 I decided to put together my own travel packages. Using Southwest and Delta for each leg, I found that I could put together a flight w/1 stop (in L.A.) each way that would only cost around $330!
Now, remember that this is specifically for April, but it could conceivably also apply in September, assuming there's any fare sales. Just a thought for the budget-minded. :D

    another item of interest...

Further research w/Southwest & any other airline that flies nonstop to Atlanta at all has turned up another possible flight plan. Using, of all places, Las Vegas as the connection point it would also be around $330.

As a rule, these are the things to look for when planning your own flight plan to get from point A to point B, especially when it requires a point C.
1)Look up the websites for the airlines that have each end point as a hub.
2)Look for the fare sales and specials.
    3)Compare the destinations.
    4)Compare the arrival times.
5)Determine how long it would take to get from one gate to the other at the midpoint airport.
6)Get the fare prices, add 'em up, then compare them to what is offered for similiar flights on the travel websites like Orbitz to make sure you're saving money.

If you can copy/paste the fare info to notepad then print it, you can compare everything really easy. That is, if you have access to a printer (stupid job took away my printer privilages so I can't print and compare while bored off my ass at work).

My registration form has been placed in the mailbox as of 2 minutes ago from writing this.

    But I would rather drive.
It's part of the fun & adventure!

I plan on leaving AZ early that Thursday.

And if Im in a good mood (emotionally & financially) in a week or 2, I MIGHT be willing to arrange the hotel room.

I theoretically have room for 1 passenger.
This spot is on HOLD however until I can confirm if the person its on hold for will be attending.

Okay, things are going to get a little crazy in July...not holding my breath just yet...but Moe and I may be moving into a 2 story 'Granny-flat' or guest house.

Now what is cool about this...other than the 200.00 we would save in rent? is that it is on 1/2 acre in Poway so.... CAMPING is available... HAHAHAHA! I thought about that for Con...I have a 10x17 tent of doom if people cannot afford a hotel, but really need a place to stay I could set that up in the yard if this works out.

In the house we are already booked out though...not only do I have PFFer's but I have an Irish man coming too. So like I said...crazy...

Keep your fingers crossed that the Guesthouse works out...besides...it is attached to Palies and Forbes house so you know...there is going to be one hell of party! (Who am I kidding...one party)
