They keep backing up the release date, like Galaxies. It's annoying! But I still can't wait.

Least they're not like Blizzard's pushing back times.

Well, my friend has the multiplayer beta. Visual spealing it doesn't look special and it's quite hard to distinguished the terrain. The first I saw an highway I thought it was a river.

They did the resources well though, it's a lot faster...

The visual's aren't impressive?! They certainly are from what I've seen! Hopefully it's only because it was the beta...

Since I didn't notice this thread earlier, I will post part of my original post here with the links.

"All I can say is WOW! If you haven't checked it out yet go here.

I have also seen some cool videos of the gameplay here. Just check out the videos with nukes going off. [face_shocked]
Those explosions are what I have always wanted in an RTS! From what I hear the balance is still there too because it isn't easy to hold on to a nuke silo (from what it sounds like). You can send jets in and take one out easy enough apparantly.

Anyway, what are some of your impressions? I am totally curious.

IMO the bad part is that EA is producing it. You can expect the support to be next to nothing. I will wait until a week or two after it comes out to make my decision on whether or not to buy it. But so far it looks promising."

I thought that I would resurrect this thread since Generals is so danged cool. Any of you play it at all? I am in love. I am also very impressed with the support that Harvard (the Producer) has shown the fans at the official forums. A nice change from the usual EA "take the money and run" policy.

In any case, I would like to play some fellow JCers some time if any of you play it.

LOL! I would love to but am at work right now. I would be happy to schedule a time and lobby though. I am free anytime on Tuesday. How about you?

BTW, what side do you normally play as? I usually go random (although I love seeing an opponent's base get nuked!) ;) [face_mischief]
