Oh my IM icons. But I like the ease of just getting there from those icons. Organization or laziness? I can't pick. I like them both.

Personally, I think vB's default graphics are ugly, and they clash with 90% of our banners. I'm currently working on implementing the graphics from the new (and not entirely stable) vBulletin 4. You'll see them in a future update.

IGN Boards is definitely the most streamlined system I've ever used. Not necessarily the most feature-laden, but always very clean, and it was even more so five years ago, before some of our current features arrived.

I'm just glad we'll be moving to another system that doesn't let users post pictures in their signature. That's so annoying.

Uhhh vB does let you put pics in your signature, though I assume that will be turned off for us. And it's not like that was a problem with IGN's boards.

Did you know that AOL sold it off and it's its own company again?

Let's just keep it that way, okay?

    You hear me, site administrators?

The overall aesthetic/look of the test board is very good. I like that a lot.

Is there really not a way to just use links instead of graphics? I just find that graphics make it look kind of cheap, cheesy, and cluttered.

Turning off images in signatures was one of the first things I did.

It's going to be a text link with a small image to the left of it. I'll show you as soon as it's up.

Can't you just turn off the "image to the left of it" part? Is that really necessary?

If people truly hate it then we'll just take them all out. I have a feeling people will like them though.

Does anyone actually use ICQ anymore?

Just a question: does the subject not get automatically entered in for subsequent posts? Not really critical. It looks like each subsequent post doesn't have a subject listed. But nobody pays attention to those, so it shouldn't be something to worry about for now.

I will also say I like text over buttons and images. In fact I would prefer it if you just made the whole thing look like an Excel doc, or at least that setting so I can better waste time at work.

The subject field is now automatically populated, just like here.

It wasn't turned on when those posts were made, which is why the subjects aren't there.
