Amph [Community] I'm in love.

I know, Tom. I want it to continue on as much as anyone. Here's to six seasons and a movie!!!

 

I'm undecided as to whether I want it to continue. The third season had some brilliant episodes but was, for me at least, the weakest so far. Hopefully the fourth will capture the magic of the second season and, combined with its higher profile, propel it onto six seasons and a movie. If not, let it die rather than drag it out.

 

I actually read an article where NBC was hopeful for a season 5 and moving Community to The Offices time slot. It's hard to believe because they have tried very hard to kill this show. But I love it and I am hopeful for Six Seasons and a movie. So we'll see.

I have never bought that they were trying to kill this show. It was going to be airing Fridays in the Fall, which would definitely kill it. To me as I said when they delayed it, it seemed like they were giving it time for other shows to be canceled and then try to put it back on Thursday. That doesn't mean they've been great with the show's scheduling or whatnot, but people always rag on NBC even though they keep shows like this alive way past when anyone else would.

 

I don't think that NBC is trying to kill Community, I just think they don't care about it. I think they move it all over tarnation because they nothing the show. They don't want it dead and they don't want to promote it thoroughly.

 

Just two more weeks until Season 4! I can't wait!

I really hope that with 30 Rock done, Office ending soon, Up All Night's second retooling likely to fail, 1600 Penn DOA, and the only solid (relatively speaking) show on Thursdays being Parks and Rec, NBC ends up renewing Community by default.

 

Parks and Rec was cancelled too, wasn't it?

 

No. It hasn't yet been officially renewed, but it will be. Its numbers are low but stable, which is really the best NBC can hope for with its sitcoms.
