    <finally delurks>

    :_| :_| WAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!! :_| :_|

This is why I prefer to watch ROTJ rather than ESB before writing fanfic.

<wanders into medcenter of own fanfic>

    "C'mere Anakin..."

<JalendaviLady steps behind a certain door. Loud but muffled thwacking can be heard outside the door, and the occassional feather flutters into the hall. Screams of "What'd I do!?!?" can be heard. JalendaviLady steps back outside.>

    I feel better now.

<wanders off to do homework and finish own post>

EDIT: I thought the characterization of Leia, with all the problems resulting from her experiences on the Death Star was wonderful and fairly accurate, at least from what I know about such things.

Awwwwwwww!!! So sad!!! Wow...next time I watch ESB, I'll be seeing it in a totally different light! :D

It was a time to realize that there was now no such thing as their happily-ever-afters.

When I read that, I just wanted to scream out "Leia, you need to read the EU!" Oh my gosh!!! I'm so sad this is over, but it was too, too awesome!!! I can't even tell you how wonderful this fic was!! (Plus, it's my favorite kind: H/L!)

    Ten thousand thumbs up!!!!!

That was wonderful. I love the insight into the reasons for what they said/did in the movies, as well as the "missing scenes." The scenes with the torture were very sad, and the romantic scenes were very heartwarming. Great work! :D

"What do we do now?" he whispered.

"I kill Lando, you kill Fett, and once Vader's out of line of sight, we steal the Falcon and go home?" she suggested.

YES! Do that. Pleeease, do that [-o|.
Seriously though, I loved that entire H/L interaction. When I watch ESB (and that's often) I always wonder what happens before they're "escorted" to the carbonfreezing-nightmare...

I also liked Han and Leia's reactions when Lando first takes them to see Vader. Very plausible (yes, I'm an X-phile) and in-character.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to watch ROTJ and unfreeze certain people [face_mischief].

    Wait! It's over?!? Noooo. *sniff*

I have to say I enjoyed every minute of this story. You did a beautiful job showing the progression of their relationship (I know I said that in my last reply, but I think it bears repeating). You made it so believable.

In spite of herself, she smiled, hand coming up to stroke his cheek. "I prefer to be here," she said quietly. "This is where I was meant to be long before I would recognize it."

"Leia Organa," he stated, "I never took you for a sentimentalist."

"I never took you for a gentleman," she countered. "Perhaps we were both wrong once upon a lifetime."

    I especially liked these lines.

    Again, truly wonderful story, DarthIshtar.

Great story! I most appreciate how adult and complex you write Han and Leia. Their relationship has never been a smooth and easy one, but that is also what makes it such a memorable one. Hope you can find the inspiration for an epilogue, for as much as ESB is my favorite SW movie, the ending never fails to be a heartbreaker. Wonderful writing!

    WoooHooo! Such good stuff!

Sorry I've been absent for a while. I was struggling with Darth Real Life for a while, and had almost had him pounded into submission when Darth Charley came around. Whew!

Congrats on finishing this story! It's so good. I love the way they tiptoe around each other and slowly crawl under the other's skin, but are both too proud to risk bearing their souls. I just ache for them!

And such lovely, intelligent banter, too. Sigh. I'm so happy!

Beautifully done! Quite memorable, in fact.

You have a way of being eloquent without appearing to be so. Does that make any sense? No. But you know what I mean to say. Most authors' Han tends to be either a complete imbecil and inept or way too preachy, lovy-dovy. You found a nice balance in your other stories, but pegged it here. The same goes for your Leia. She's a complex and aggravating char to write, I'm sure. That makes you either (or perhaps both) 1) a complete masochist for volunteering to write them together, or 2) very good at your characterizations. Either way, well done!

Done with the condescending, I'm-the-honorable-and-ingenius-professor-and-you-are-merely-an-undergrad speech. Suode!

    Hi DarthIshtar,

I liked this story very much it?s my fav. time period in the OT. It?s so sad that Han always gets frozen at the end.
As I read the story I noticed some references about the Ord Mantell incident.
Do you have an entire story about that famous event?

I do not have a specific story about the Ord Mantell incident, but it can be found both in Then Comes the Night and in Lest Ye Be Judged. It leads to a fiasco at Is'taria. Read TCTN because it's more coherently described.

Hey, I just found this! I'm feeling inarticulate and stupid/sleep deprived, but I'll do my best to make sense. I really, really enjoyed it. I've read a lot of 'trip to bespin' stories and this was certainly a nice take on it. I really liked how you sort of built up to that "I love you" "I know" exchange. It makes complete sense with the way you told it (gaaah, am I making sense??). Anyways, it was a great read. Thanks for sharing this. :)

EDIT: Must learn to complete sentences before moving on to next one. *sigh*

EDIT 2: No, really. This is getting ridiculous.

Very nice piece. I truly enjoyed it. A fabulous nine out of ten. There were bits I found slightly choppy (goodness, don't ask me to remember them though ) but nothing that can't be overlooked. Plot wise, this was absolutely beautiful. You've done a wonderful job, Ishtar! Bravo!
