It's definitely the animal that farts in front of Jar Jar at the pod race. I remember either hearing it was the same animal in Episode II on the DVD or somewhere else.

AotE, please be more considerate in your posts... your additude here and in the E3SA has been rather volitile.....

As for the question, I believe they are Aiwhas, the amphibious bird like creatures we see in one of the opening Kamanio sequenses...

    Rather obscure,

What is the significance of nameing one of the outlander drinks 'Aludium pu-36?'

EDIT: OBIX1 you beat me to it!

    :p

You guys never got mine right im shocked!
The answer was Naboo human (Padme) and Nunas, the tiny two legged chicken like things running behind Annie and Padme when they arrive at Watto's shop.(Jabba knocked one off his balcony in TPM. They're imported from Naboo.)
    Here's a challenge.
What two characters (or at least two, there may be more) were introduced in episode 1 but didnt have their names uttered til episode 2?
BONUS: What character appeared in ROTJ, but didnt have his name uttered til TPM?

    Good Luck....you're gonna need it.

    Did you get stumped?

Aludium pu-36 is the componant needed to blow up the earth in the Bugs Bunny/Marvin the Martian cartoons....

As in "Oh goody! my Aludium pu-36..."
