?Tahiri, get behind me,? Anakin whispered to her.

?No,? Tahiri set her jaw. ?I'm tired of hiding behind you.?

?Here are my instructions,? Alema said the intercom. ?Step inside the control room.?
Anakin moved to obey.

You're obeying her!?

You're too precious to me. I'm not going to lose you. Remember Adonie's vision.
Anakin walked slowly towards the control room.

Yes, I do! But how do we know she wasn't faking that either?

We don't. Get everyone in the ship. I'm going to activate the self-destruct.

What about you?

Anakin made eye contact with Tahiri as he turned to go into the room. I love you.

Tahiri smiled softly. I know.
Her husband disappeared into the room.

?Ben, bring the kids. They're safe now,? Tahiri called to the young Jedi. Ben raced to her, and she took all three of them into her arms. Owen giggled, Allana cried in her loving aunt's arms, and Ben suppressed relieved sobs. ?Excellent job, Ben Skywalker. You brought them home safely.?

?Not alone,? he stated. ?Adonie told me of her job, and her unwillingness to carry out her boss' order. Then we hatched a plan. She watched over us and made sure no harm would come to us.?

?Good. Kids, get in the ship. We're going to have to make a quick escape,? Tahiri herded them into the vessel. Adonie walked up to her. ?Thank you, Secura.?

?You're welcome. I'd never betray you, Tanner, or any of the Jedi. You know that, don't you??

?I do, now,? Tahiri put a hand on her friend's arm. ?Let's go. Quick!?

Alema entered the control room, where Anakin was shifting uncomfortably.
?What do you want, Rar?? He asked, taking little notice of her lack of clothing.

?Take off your shirt,? she tilted her head seductively.
Anakin would have refused, but he had to play along.
He obeyed, attempting to look pleased. She laughed softly. ?I knew you'd come willingly.?

Anakin stretched as he walked over to her and ?accidentally? pressed the 'self destruct' control.
Alema didn't seem to notice. She was too busy drooling over his six pack.
?Alema?? He made his voice as nonchalant as possible as he attempted to endure her first kiss.

?Yes?? She purred, kissing him again.

?We've got ten seconds 'till this place blows. Bye!? Anakin grabbed his shirt and raced out of the control room, knocking Alema out so she couldn't deactivate his work. Tahiri was conversing with Adonie. ?Into the ship. Now! Let's get out of here!? Anakin slipped an arm around his wife's waist and pulled her and Adonie aboard.

[b]38 A.B.Y. - Month 6[/b]

We have found Owen!
Thanks to Ben and Adonie, Allana and Owen have come home unharmed.
Darth Vader's former Imperial Stardestroyer was obliterated, along with Nom Anor and Alema.

Anakin and I are now at home, watching [i]War of the Planets[/i].
Owen is in his bed, asleep.
I wonder, now that it's all over, if my family will ever be able to lead a normal life.
Will we miss all the excitement?
Maybe.

Oh well, now's not the time to think about it.

Anakin stroked his wife's hair, admiring her beauty as she watcher her favorite holomovie with great interest. ?Hello,? he said softly.

She looked over at him, smiling. ?Hello, yourself.?
He kissed her lips fully.

?You're so beautiful,? he murmured into her hair. ?I love you,? he pulled her to his chest, kissing her again and again. ?So much.?

Tahiri laughed softly. ?I love you to death.?

?How about 'till death?? He wiggled his eyebrows.

She shook her head. ?I'll always love you, even past death.?
Anakin smiled tenderly and kissed his cherished wife's cheek..
?What did I do to deserve you, my love?? she asked gratefully.
He gave her a butterfly kiss.
