Completly to the these fourms... what program does everyone use?

I'm completely new to these fourms, yet while browsing the fourms this one perked my interest. I've been working with 3d animation for awhile and was just curious as to what program everyone here uses.

Personally I use Softimage at my school.

 

Used to use TrueSpace,

Now I use 3DStudio Max.

 

Most here use Max... :shrug:

I use XSI and Wings3D

 

I use Maya.

 

I use the ones installed on my computer

 

Lightwave 3D

tho been wanting to fiddle with XSI

I use Paint ...from windows

 

Old 3D Studio R3 (dos version) for modelling, 3D Studio Max 3 for animating and effects, Micrografx Picture Publisher for texture making.

 

For 3D I mostly use Maya, mainly because that's what my school teaches. For 2D I use Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign, JASC Paintshop Pro, QuarkXPress 4.11 (only because of school, it's evil), and all too often MS Paint.

 

I use Blender...

 

3D: MAX 5
2D: Photoshop CS

 

i use 3ds max 5.1 mostly but on our pc with xp i use ver 6

 

I always see this all the time, everyoen askes this same question what program do you use. It gets annoying after awhile but anyway moving on. For 3d modeling i use 3ds max the most, and sometimes lightwave. For compositing I use combustion and after effects, and i also have photoshop for creating 3d textures.

 

I as well use Maya.

 

I really HATE these threads. They pop up all the time and people start debating pros and cons of software. It's all really pointless to debate these things. If you want a professional opinion read reviews in magazines, trade publications, or their online sites. For now... I'm gonna just create a POLL so everyone can look there to answer this question in the future.
