ST Concept Art Discussion Thread

Ladies and gentlemen, this is not a drill! We appear to have our first concept art!

As you can see in the background of this shot there are two largish paintings, both of which appear to be new artwork for the new films.
Both pieces seem to feature the Millennium Falcon in shot! The picture on the left seems to show the Falcon flying through space over a man made structure in orbit of a planet, that looks like either Tatooine or Courscant. The one on the right seems to show the falcon flying over a large canyon or valley. I personally think this one again looks like Tatooine, but it could in fact be Geonosis, or possibly even the lake country of Naboo.

What do you guys think about our the concept art revealed so far?

 

OMG… is that the Millenium Falcon?! What do I think? Man, I am speechless…

 

I think it's pretty much safe to say the Falcon is pretty much confirmed now!

 

These are very exciting times to be a Star Wars fan.

 

I have no idea where you're see in the Falcon in the right hand picture. Great to see it in the left though.

Just to be certain, that's definitely not a pic from the Bespin approach or anything is it?

 

Is something blowing up in the Falcon picture or is that a tan colored moon?

 

I am sure the people attending meetings like that one must have a very hard time trying not to disclose anything to their closest friends

 

No, it's not. The Falcon can clearly be seen in that pic, but I can't see it in the other...

 

The far right pic, just above the guy's hair, has something that could be the Falcon's sensor dish.

God, this is finally starting to feel real

 

To me this still feels unreal, Han, Luke and Leia back in the Falcon again. FANTASTIC!

 

I still can't see it, but I'll go with you guys.

 

Feels really strange not having Lucas in that pic, though...

 

I'm having a hard time seeing the "man-made structure in orbit" in the left image. I can make out the falcon in both, but it took me a bit in the right image. I think I need a better computer.

 

still have doubts about the right pic...especially whats is that I circled in green?

 

Im gunna vote no on the "falcon on the right" thing. I think its rocks. Also I think its rocks from Naboo based on the waterfall looking thing to the left.

Someone in another thread said they saw yoda... anyone else get that?

 

A shadow, another ship, a rock perhaps...Could be anything. But that is DEFINITELY the Falcon, no doubt about it.
