Atlantic Concerning the war, the JCC is a bad place to be posting...

Ok, usually the JCC is quite a cliquey place and it seems like any anti-war or anti-Bush opinions are unwanted and are bannable.

One mods says it's ok to bash America and Americans but it's not ok to bash Bush and that's bannable.

And then another one says well you can bash Bush but not America or Americans. Now, I agree with this one.

Anyway, The Official Iraq Discussion Thread has gotten a little out of hand.

This is where Derek got banned the first time. And now he's banned again tonight, for flaming! He did not flame, I read through the thread. And AT60 was banned too!

If America is so free, then why aren't people FREE to express their opinions!!!

P.S. Yes, I know this post seems like I'm rambling but I'm a bit annoyed and I don't know to get it all out in order.

I don't think that you can bash Americans, but not bash Bush. Some of us who post here (ACG) are Americans, and some of us would bash Bush ourselves (I do in RL). So you can bash America, but you can't bash the person who, IMO, brought the country to the bash-worthy point.

 

Actually, current policy is officially that you can bash a public figure (like Bush) but that you can?t bash a nation (like Micronesia).

 

Well, no I wouldn't bash Americans, but I would bash Bush. He's a politician for crying out loud! It's the public's right to bash every politician.

If I brought this up in Comms, I would be banned so fast! I'd probaby be accused of causing trouble...me cause trouble? Never

I can't believe that. That is so retarded. I haven't even seen it yet, but knowing the history of the JCC, I can already say it's retarded. I support the war, I support Bush. I certainly don't expect everyone to agree with me (one of my closest friends and I don't agree!), but I sure as heck will respect their right to have their own opinion, even though I know they're wrong! (I am so joking on that one, people ). But, ugh...I don't know...that was so stupid.
