    ...to the Nashua Pride, who became the 2007 Can-Am League champions tonight after 7-3 and 7-5 wins at home over the North Shore Spirit put them in position to sweep the Spirit at Fraser Field, and the Pride got a 7 hit, 2 earned run performance over 6 1/3 innings with a walk and 7 strikeouts from one of their Japanese pitchers, Hideki Nagasaka, in a 6-4 win. A 2-run homer by Pride shortstop Olmo Rosario and a 3-run double by second baseman Jack Joffrion highlighted a 5-run first inning that gave Nashua the lead that they would never relinquish. Former Red Sox reliever Rich "El Guapo" Garces got saves in the second and clinching games of the series.
