I'm usually not very active with the fanforce boards but I figured I'd ask a question about this con.

I just came back from this con and it was pretty good for it only being in its 3rd year. They are currently trying to fund raise and so forth to make the next year even better. I figured that maybe some of the nearby fanforce groups would want to get active with this convention. The con is supposed to be multi-genre but it was kind of heavy on anime and gaming. I only noticed 5 SW costumes (including myself) the whole time. They really did quite well for the size of the con compared with the staff (only 20 staff members!). They are looking for help from anywhere that is willing to offer and I figured getting the fanforce involved would be a great way to do this And get some more Star Wars at the con hehe

I can't seem to find any fan forces in Connecticut but I may be just missing it some how or I'd post there too/instead.
    Here's the website:

go to the forums, the webmaster is not very good, the staff explained that he created a lot of the confusion by the lack of updates and accuracy so anything should go to the forums
and here is their donation site that has been set up only hours ago:

    Thanks everyone

There's no official chapter for Connecticut...yet. There is a chapter getting organized and their board can be found here. Their second meeting is soon, so it's a perfect time to get involved. :)

Well, I'm the Maine CR... I'm sure a couple members would be willing to make the trek down, but I'd have to wait till closer to the date... I'm not so interested in going if there is only going to be a very small Star Wars presence.

see, the thing is this year was the 3rd year of the con, so it may get more diverse... depends on the people, just tryin to find some help for the staff so they aren't spread as thinly

please check this site out and see if anyone is willing to help out at all in any way, the con center added on so much that was beyond the estimate of charges.

    thanks both of you
