How near was he at the end to where the ysalamiri had been?

1) The scene where Nom Anor is in the ooglith masquer of a sandy haired person is described from ANAKIN's point of view. So you'd think he'd go, "Hey, Nom Anor looks like me!"

2) "The newcomer turned, revealing the profile of a sandy-haired human" (page 452 hardcover)...um, it was a human, not specifically a Jedi...so you can't argue the the imposter himself was an Anakin decoy.

read on it says he was wearing a tattered jumpsuit the same as the jedi were wearing. If he wasn't trying to look like one of the jedi they're would be no point in putting the masquer on. Think about it.

As for anakin's POV, I don't have an answer for that, except that denning didn't want to spell it out. One of the problems with this book and scene in particular was a lack of dialogue IMO.

well anakin's jumpsuit was in tatters at this point as well. Why else would nom anor wear a tattered jumpsuit? WHY? yes he stood a foot taller but, Nom anor didn't know anyone had seen him yet. If you remember in Balance point a yuuzhan vong spy disguised his height by hunching over. I never said it was a perfect disguise. Maybe Nom Anor was hoping that the Jedi would only see him from a distance and wouldn't be able to tell how tall he was.

 

What does that have to do with the imposter being Anakin?
