ST Constable Zuvio

it could be the equivalent of Greedo in ANH, where Rey has a history with Zuvio and his story purpose is to tell us something about her character, the world she comes from. Maybe there's a price on her head in this town and she's a constant thorn in his side.

 

That description reminds me kind of Constable Odo from DS9.

Wonder if Zuvio has got a bucket?

 

Zuvio will be the "Guardian" archetype on Jakku, the last obstacle representing her past life before Rey can truly begin her hero journey.

 

I wouldn't be surprised if Rey and Constable Zuvio are constantly at odds on Jakku. He looks like the type that would take bribes and ban someone like Rey from salvaging good stuff from Star Destroyers.

 

Wasn't he described as "a vigilant law officer on a mostly lawless world."? Sounds like the opposite of taking bribes.

 

I'm not saying he doesn't keep an eye out for trouble, but that doesn't mean he always comes down on the side of justice. I was thinking about when Qui-Gon threatened Watto with the Hutts in TPM. While the Hutts would probably end up siding with Qui-Gon, you wouldn't say they were good guys. It all just depends on the circumstances.

With Rey on the run because the Junk Dealer wants BB-8 and Finn hiding from the First Order, Zuvio could be the type of character that keeps the peace at any cost.

He could stop a fight from breaking out over a bad trade or he could cut the hands off a child stealing an apple.

 

Peace over justice, that's Anakin's tune. Could work.

His name and the eyes reminded me Commisar Juves from The Fantomas.

He is going to be such a great character. I really got into him during Weapon of a Jedi.

 

He looks a little fake and ridiculous. I kind of like that, though. Greener than I would have thought, too.

He wasn't in that, was he? I think you're thinking of Sarco Plank.

Not really digging that look at all. The guy behind him is cool, but the color scheme is....off

His fellow constable have maybe a flavour of the Boushh concept sketches, mixed with some of the early Boba Fett stuff, too.
