The point the study makes is that children from poorer families have less good cahnces in the education system. I am aware this is a German study, but I think some points are pretty universal.

Reasoning: Children from poorer families often have parents that are not German. They do not speak German well when they get into kindergarten/school and this leads to disadvantages. they cannot follow the lessons as well, and they cannot express themselves as well. And if the parents do not speak German, they cannot help their children with their school work.

I'd need to find a different study, but often it is also that school is not regarded to be as important in poorer families as in the middle and upper classes.

you originally claimed that being poor caused you to get a bad education

are you now claiming that not having german as your first language (in germany) causes you to get a bad education ?

    they are different points

Can I say it correlates? :p
With German not your mother tongue, you're likely to end up poor.
