Memph, TN Cook-out/Meeting - September 8 at 2:00 in Aycock Park, Millington

Alright...I'll start talkin' about our meeting tomorrow morning. I'll also put the announcement and a link to the boards here on our station's website.

 

I'm afraid I don't know where King Cotton Motors is at.

 

It's not at all hard to find, Timbo. King Cotton Motors is on Hwy 51 in Covington...can't miss it. I'm not sure if I'm scheduled for that broadcast yet, though.

Ya know gang...I've been thinking. I probably shouldn't announce our meeting on the air. I don't want us to run out of food. I think we'll just keep it to this board and our friends. And next time you see someone looking at Star Wars stuff (action figures, books, etc.) tell 'em about our little group here!! Recruit, recruit, recruit!
*Edit* Okay...I did mention it once...and it is on our station's website...that should be enough. Maybe we'll get a few more to start posting here.

 

Hey if we don't have enough food we can always send someone on a pizza run are something. I'm go to bring two packages of Hotdogs so hopefully that'll be enough. Let us know if your going to be there for that broadcast and I might show up.

Qui Gonn Tim said he is coming. He mentioned cookies but I'm not sure about that. I'm getting so excited that I'm velcemt.

6 days and counting til Memphis' first official meeting!!! I'm so excited!!

 

Man, I am pumped!!! I do have somebody else coming, my brother. He's a SW freak too. I'll get him to bring some burgers or some kind of meat.

I've invited a couple of other folks, but I don't know if they will come.

 

Hey Chris...do I need to bring any burger or hot dog buns? And do I need to bring ice? I don't have a cooler, though.

Hey Rhonda...you can bring plastic utensils, cups and napkins. That is, if that's okay with you?
My wife is bringing a pasta salad.

 

Do we need coolers? I have a couple I could bring, as well as ice. With only a couple of days to go, we need to nail down the details of who's bringing what, and try to get some idea of how many we expect to attend. Nothing worse than having too much or too little food. BTW- what should I bring?

 

Yeah we do need to make sure we are properly prepared. I can't wait til sunday though.

 

Cool!! I'll have to see if I can get one or two of my friends in on this, I'd really like to come.
Anybody care if I wear my amidala costume? lol, it would be fitting and I could finally take some nice pictures of it ^_^

So, are we Memphis fan going to be meeting every Sunday or is that pending?

 

Right now I think we are going to meet once a month because people have kids and stuff like that. But, we might meet more often in the future, maybe?
