OK, I've been doing some messing around on the Net lately, and stumbled across some Star Wars-related Websites that you all may think are cool. You probably already know 1 or 2 of them, but WTH, I'll give it a shot.

    SITE 1 is at http://www.asciimation.co.nz/.

It basically presents ANH (Star Wars Episode IV) in a scrolling ASCII format. I didn't watch all the way through, but it looked pretty cool and entertaining if you have some time to kill.

    SITE 2 is at http://www.theforce.net/swtc/.

The STAR WARS Technical Commentaries are hosted through TFN, and man, if you want to see some really cool $h*t, this is the place you need to be!

Especially if you're like me, and want to see an intellectual approach that marries a modern, scientific, skeptical, humanistic outlook that tackles various topics regarding STAR WARS canon and phenomena. Want to see real-life physicians discuss Vader's injuries? Want to know if a lightsaber can actually exist in our world, and if so, the scientific basis behind its operation? Need to see the various Imperial ranks, insignia, and military hierarchy for that upcoming STAR WARS roleplaying session (http://www.theforce.net/swtc/insignia/empire.html)? Got some serious questions about the origins of the antagonism between the Jedi and the Sith orders (http://www.theforce.net/swtc/preq/jedisith.html)?

Whether you are a STAR WARS roleplayer or a modern skeptic, or you just love STAR WARS in general and want to see how some truly devoted (and smart) fans approach their love for George Lucas' creation--YOU MUST CHECK THIS SITE OUT!! I cannot recommend it highly enough. I personally LOVE the section on Darth Vader's injuries (found at http://www.theforce.net/swtc/injuries.html). It's wickedly cool in my book because I love Vader!

    SITE 3 is at http://rebelscum.com/.

This is a great STAR WARS toys, news, collecting, video game, and reference site. Highly worth checking out!

    SITE 4 is at http://www.starwars.com/eu/feature/19981218/.

OK, it should be fairly well known by now that I am a Dark Sider and pro-Imperial in my Star Wars sympathies. (Hey, I can't help it that we're so cool.) I want to be a Royal Guard really bad, and aside from their complete (but all too brief) coolness in Return of the Jedi, the two Crimson Empire series merely whetted my appetite to become one of Emperor Palpatine's personal protectors! You can go to this site and catch a Flash version of Crimson Empire #0 through starwars.com and find out why this series, and by extension, Kir Kanos and the rest of the Royal Guard, are so freakin' cool. (You are welcome to read my copies of the trade paperbacks of CE I and II if you want to follow up on the rest of the story!)

Just thought those might be of interest to you. Sorry about the fairly lengthy post, but a little background description may help you decide whether or not you wanna go there.

Anybody else that has cool STAR WARS sites, I'd be glad to see what you have to offer, so post away and if I don't already know about them, I will go there and check 'em out!

    My favorites are prop related:

    http://rpf.prop-planet.com/index.php

This is a site with many props for various movies but SW is a main portion of the board.

    http://www.mattrinck.com/saberstable/

I am a admin on this board about sabers:)

I agree Rebelscum is a great toy site. There are many others as well but they all seem to get the same news after a few hours so I save time and just read the scum.

Rhi-Lan, thanks for the kick-a$$ heads-up on the different sites you listed. I agree with you--the Internet has not consumed me yet, and I do spend a lot of my time outside. I am a runner and basketball player and enjoy the outdoors. The 'Net can be an insidious drain on one's time if you let it. But again, thanks for the sites--I'll check 'em all out (eventually).

And Mark is right--I do need to get a life. I simply hafta quit hanging around with you guys!! *laffs* Just kidding. Everyone have a great upcoming weekend!
