Coolest non-combat use for a lightsaber

    I think shaving with one would be rather interesting...or maybe opening a can of mushrooms or something...

    That's silly. A lightsber is a weapon, not a can-opener or a shaving-razor.

    However, it could replace a machete as a handy-dandy gardening implement!

    Well, on a seriouser note, when Qui-Gon uses his lightsaber to get through that door in TPM... (love that scene)

    Great thread!

    On a more serious note I liked the part of The Last Command where Luke use's his lightsaber to go down a wall too tall for him to leap down.He jumps and thrusts it into the wall and brings it down carving a sliver while he goes down slowly enough for a safe landing.
