BTW...I've emailed the Queen to make sure it is all right to invade the hotel room Friday night for The Princess Bride...I'll post a thread when I know for sure to get an idea of how many will come.

 

FYI, the programming and schedules are now up for CopperCon at the website. There are a few interesing panels they plan on holding. A couple on the SW books and how to write for SW and I saw a couple on there on SW costuming. Be interesting to see who they have leading the SW costuming one and what they have to say!

Hi guys...It's printing night for me and I still haven't seen any lists of the props being brought.

Ladies?

Could you please send me a list of what each group is bringing??

Trust me, it's for a good reason.

 

Of those of you bringing lightsabers for the displays, who is bringing them and how many are you bringing? I need to know if they will all fit in the display case.

Also, Obey, can you still loan us your RFT costume for display?

Speaking of light sabers, I was watching the production of EP I on the 2nd disk. I almost drooled when they opened a case and asked him (Ewin McGregor) wich one he liked. There was 6 diferant kinds I think

I WANT ONE TOO!!

Moe is bringing:
-3 Lightsabers for display.
-Lego Tantive IV.
-Newly completed custom blaster carbine.

 

I know Chris has been working to get CASFS to change their Volunteer rules. Give him time to prove himself to them and I'm sure he'll have more leeway on how volunteers may be compensated at future conventions.

Registration will be open 11am-9pm Friday, 9am-9pm Saturday, and 9am-3pm Sunday so you should be able to get your own badges whenever you show up. The badges are really cool, with a Rebel Alliance/Galactic Empire logo combination for the watermark. Registration is right above the DSG/JO/PFF display room in the upper Preconvene.

Tonight at the convention the lower preconvene was dark, with light only coming from the restrooms and the stairwell. Yet people were chilling down there. When I spoke with them about how the room would be filled with displays from local SW groups starting on Friday they seemed excited. This is a good sign people. Let's drum up some new membership for our groups!

 

Well, what I thought wouldn't happen has happened. I went and got myself exausted and in the process, got myself sick. I will see how I am doing by tomorrow but I may not make it to Copper Con. I am very Pi$$@& off about it. But instead of going and infecting all of you with anything I might have, I'll just have to take the day off. I'm sorry guys. I will miss you and I hope to see plenty of pictures when you get back. I'll also be sure to attend the next meeting. Love you guys.

Well I have a had a good day of rest. It was a nice time to get some writing done. I love it when it rains. I chose a good weekend to get sick. Thanks Mex and Dave! I'm feeling stong enough to pull ears of a gundark! Hope Con was fun!
