    It reminds me an awful lot of "MANhattan" in A.I. Like an alien ghost town of some kind. It also reminds me of that one Twilight Zone episode where there's this old hermit that was very anti-social and just wished that everyone on the planet would dissappear so he could read his books in peace. He finally got his wish; everyone on the planet was annihalated and he had all the time in the world to read but then his glasses broke. Yeah, I'm probably the only one who saw that, huh? 8-}

    We may get a chance to see what happened to Coruscant for ourselves:

    Time article

    "Over the past three months, a chemical-weapons watchdog organization called the Sunshine Project has obtained evidence that the U.S. is considering some projects that appear to take us beyond the bounds of good sense: bioengineered bacteria designed to eat asphalt, fuel and body armor"

    Talk about life imitating art, next thing you know we will have a statue to Yun-Yuuzahn in D.C. ;).

    Hey, I just started reading Rebel Dream, and anyone who has the book, turn to page 66 and read the last paragraph on that page. It's almost exactly like the above picture.

    And thanks to Papercutshurt who sent me both the above image and the cover scan of Rebel Stand and drew very close comparisons between the two images. Nice job, buddy! :D

    Have you ever read 'World Enough And Time' by James Kahn? The similarities between that book and what you just said are staggering. Except in the book it started out as bacteria that would oil slicks, but mutated into something that ate ALL plastics. Very good book.

    That's the type of cover Traitor should have had. Half the cityscape image the urban Coruscant, half growing into organic Yuuzhantaar.

    And I thought it was ptooey.

    "p'tui" is more artistic! 8-}

    ". . . bioengineered bacteria designed to eat asphalt, fuel and body armor"

    Has anyone ever read "Pandora's Genes"? That was exactly what they did, and it didn't turn out so well . . .

    Good pic. The craters and half destroyed buildings do make it look like it could be Coruscant between the Fall and arrival of the World Brain.

    The only problems are that the gardens are a little too ordered, and there aren't enough skyscrapers, but it's still a good find. :)
