Coruscant's Bottom...

    I do wonder though....I would think there is a problem with constructing new buildings on top of old buildings. When those really old building near the bottom rot out and collapse, it would cause problems for the buildings on top of it. All in all, it seems like a pretty unrealistic way for things to work. After all, here on Earth when a building gets too old, we knock it down and build a new one (Aside from protected historical buildings). It is difficult to believe a lot of Coruscant under the main city is really in tact.

    It is, but that's the only creature in the novel remotley "spider-like", which I assume was referring to it's web.

    Yeah. The imagination is different from reality and I didn't even use Wookieepeedia to see what it looked like. As to Coruscant's structure, I think construction droids shore things up with the older buildings, to avoid having them collapse. Also, those that are endanger are probably demolished and replaced with others. I think it's kinda like Legos.
