ST Cosplay/Costumes?

Anyone else making a costume or anything to go see it in?? I am! I'm debating between a few choices, but I was just curious if anyone else was

 

i'm going in rags but those are just my actual clothes.

I'm okay with that. I'm constantly digging up that kind of stuff. The more info the better. Just gets me more pumped for the movie

Are costumes allowed? I know masks aren't in my theater..

 

That's a good question. Last time I went to a big premier was Deathly Hallows II, which IIRC was before the big Batman shooting. I'd check before you go all dressed up. Or wear street clothes underneath so you can strip and dump it in the car.
The most I'll do is dress in black and carry my lightsaber

 

I don't see why it wouldn't be as long as you didn't carry fakes weapons or wear a mask

 

Not going in costume as mine are long gone. I would definitely call the theatre and speak with the manager to get the info if going in costume is permitted.

 

Well if I can't go in costume, I have a dress that I made as a back up. The fabric looks like space and has tie fighters, the millennium falcon, and x-wings on it.

 

I want to do a Luke costume, but I'd be a walking spoiler.

I was think about an OC Jedi or a miscellaneous Rebel X-Wing Pilot Possibly Ahsoka?

 

My girlfriend and I are planning on going as Han and Leia, and I'm trying to convince my younger brother to go with us as Luke.

 

Thinking about doing a BB8 cosplay

Either that or the Force itself--it just depends on what material is available at Jo-Ann Fabrics when I get around to making the costume.

 

Hey guys, I have a cosplay question with regards to Kylo Ren's helmet. Is there a visor that covers the eye section? The trailers feel like it does have one but then I saw photos which say no. I'm confused here.

 

Good reference if you want to make your own. Or you can just pre-order it.

Evidently its some sort of mesh covering. Kind of tricky to find good reference material for that particular detail, but if you want to join in with a bunch of other folks working on their Kylo outfits and deconstructing what all goes into it, I recommend you come check out the Knights of Ren section on the RPF and the accompanying Facebook group.
