FF:SA Costume contest

The South australian museum is having a exhibit between 14-22 august on Space, they are having a few quiz nights and Star trek expo as well, on the friday 20th they will have a Star Trek quiz night and Best costume...
entry is $2 at 7.30pm at SAM North Tce.

Anyone interested in coming along so we can win the Costume contest and quiz on the 40 years of sci-fi movies and tv shows.

I don't think my Tie Pilot costume will be ready by then, but I can come along and give you a hand and give the quiz a go.

OK EVERYONE Darth Meanders made some enquiries today to the Star Trek club and this is a copy of the email he got back...

staff has accidently placed two dates, the only quiz night is this sat 14
aug at the armoury gallery at the SA Museum.

Excellent, we all dont have to dress up but it would be good just to go, i take it that we are good to go on the sat. 14th then?

Spoke to D_M today he can go, that makes 2 plus AD, ISPY and Tyken so that is 5...anymore??? Evil u are our only hope....u are our only hope...u are our only hope....

D_M also suggested going to dinner beforehand

How about the London Tavern underneath Myers,
Cafe Buongiorno, red rock noddle, lemon & Lime thai on rundle st. but not too far from SAM.

OK guys, here's the latest news.

I spoke to Margaret tonight and booked a table for us, under my (real) name. She tells me a table will seat eight comfortably, ten at a pinch.

The front of the SAM is a mess at a moment, so its at an entry at the back. There should be signs up.

They are planning to start at 7:30 sharp and would like people getting in by about 7:00, possibly earlier for those needing to frock up. She tells me there is a kitchenette which can be used as changing facilities so we should be OK.

$2 a head entry.

Expected to finish around 10:30 depending on the vibe

So at latest count we have eight. How many of those are costuming? .. puts up his hand ..

Tyken is and I believe TK is a dresser as well! ISPY is bringing his fairer half as she is the Trekkie and a wealth of knowledge I'm told!

Sounds ok i guess and yes it is a bit early but if anyone still wants to eat that is fine by me, problably would have to eat around 5.30-6.0 so we can get to SAM on time to dress up...The London tavern looks good since it is the closest to SAM...

Had some problems trying to fix my stormie upper chest plate and no good, broken...have to get new pieces
But i rang Evil and i will borrow his pieces to make do.

Otherwise i will eat at home i guess.
