Though I have not had a mandalorian (I understand they are cunning warriors and don?t survive well in captivity lol) but this (http://www.thedentedhelmet.com/) is a good forum for help in acquiring the materials for one. There are many different helmet makers so choose carefully. The armour and jumpsuit you can make yourself if you want. There are lots of other things you can add for a custom mandalorian and they look great. On the Dented Helmet they are very helpful and sometimes can sell you just that little missing piece you were looking for.
You can also look in the Costuming and props section of this forum for more things you can make yourself.
Also if you need help getting inspired you can do a search of the pictures from Dragon Con and Celebration 1,2, and 3. There are plenty of us dressed in all kinds of great stuff.
If you can get together with us on Saturday the 12th at 6pm I will try to bring some of my own C3 pix.
    Good luck
    :)

I agree with the above, if you wanna be a good guy jedi is probably a good way to go. If you wanna turn to the dark side, you could go with a standard officer or an imperial guard if you want to stay on the less expensive side. Storm/Clone troopers are just neat. I am planning on a Stormie for my next project, started a blaster already. Mandolorians are probably among the most time consuming and expensive, but the satisfaction is terrific when it starts coming together. thedentedhelmet.com is the best place to learn for them. I am a long time member there, I can point you in the right direction for your gear.

I have also been to TDH. A lot of these guys and gals helped me out a lot with my custom Mando. Custom mando will cost you a lot if you don't do your research, If anyone needs help let me know. But doing Boba or Jango will cost you a whole lot more, if you don't talk to them.

Ok, been awhile. Figured I owed you guys some more pics-

Ok, got my bucket done. Its a DP96, and turned out pretty good. It is a little smaller than the movie original. I got a good deal through a friend on a nice fiberglass mystery helmet-bigger and much more accurate-
    http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c343/mrgr8ness/IMG_0237.jpg

I built a blinking rangefinder circuit and have a hollow rangefinder stalk on the way so I can put the 9V inside the helmet. I am going ESB theme with this helmet. I wanted to try something new, and I like the ESB version so much better already. Heres my progress as of last week, Im a little farther now-

I decided to scratchbuild my codpiece. This was not as bad as I originally thought. Built using sintra and a bunch of bondo-

Could you edit that out of my last post (as I can't do that myself)?
I can send the question via PM instead.

I use Photobucket. It works well and you can add tons of pictures to it. I have over 400 and still not limited.

:DOk Folks..here's the dress finally done...I had to go buy more material and start over from scratch again. I messed up on the first try. Thanks to my friend Sherri...she helped me whip up this one. I have the belt to do this week and it's done.

Got it from Ruffkintoys over at TDH. I worked out a trade with him for my mystery helmet, jetpack, and knees. I also bought my gaunts from him. He is awesome to deal with. I will ask him what the pricing is on the jetpacks.

I did make a rangefinder circuit and I can make one for you. I still need to finish its development though. I have the circuit done, but I still need to add in the battery and switch. I was trying to build it all in to the rangefinder, but for my bucket, and am going to put the switch in the ear and the battery inside the bucket. I bought a hollow rangefinder stalk from Bobamaker. For the future, I want to build a tilt switch and battery on board, so it all stays contained in the rangefinder, but I need to spend more time on it. Hopefully, once I get my costume done, and can come back to it.
