Costume Seller Help

I'm terribly, terribly sorry that I had to create this thread but as a concerned SW Costumer, I just need to know.

Has any of you ever met or bought any costumes or prop or heard of this eBay seller going as sitti1 who is working from Zamboanga City, Philippines?

The WHOLE SW Costuming Community will appreciate it if this fellow is proven to be not the one he's suspected to be who's involved in a very serious human ethics issues.

i'm looking at sitti's site and i'm most impressed with his/her collection. did you see that Jango and Bobba jackets? cool!

unfortunately this is the first time i've heard of such a person. i'd like to think that these costumes are replicas of the ones used on film (meaning these weren't filched out from the wardrobe tent). its been known that quite a number of Filipinos work for GL in various departments of the Lucas empire, for all we know this person could've been one of the tailors/seamstress that makes the costumes themselves, its no wonder that they can make them so accurate. (hmm, i wonder if they can make me a Zam Wessel constume...)

are you planning to purchase one/some of the items from this site? i think ebay has a feedback profile on the seller, you amy want to check that out. funny, with all the costumes i don't see any Jedi robes...

 

I sense an AOTC-style mystery going on here...

Sitti1 is suspected to be Thomas Ernie Scheuer a.k.a. "Universal Armorer" who is wanted by both the Costuming Community for fraud and by the FBI for child pornography charges.

Since you guys are in Philippines, I think it'll be more accurate for you to check it out if you got the time or needs. (Not asking you to REALLY check it out; just in case you are ABLE to check it out). Most people hope he's not whom he is suspected to be but most of the time, we got to be sure.

As for his costumes and props, well I'll rather not comment much as I tend to be an Accuracy Freak when paying for something I don't make myself but his Royal Guard Cloak doesn't look good enough for the price he's asking for. And the patches he produce is way below par; wanted to get them before I got to know of this allegation but guess quality win over price 4 me. His items may pass as "accurate" in the eyes of normal people though.

Well, maybe once our Chapter expands all the way to Mindanao and Zamboanga we can have a member do some sleuthing for us and the whole SW community. I just hope he doesn't go the way of most Bothan spies.
