After my fabulous time with the PFF at the Renn Faire, I decided to make a costume for next year. I am almost finished making the:

Scottish style dress It is Simplicity pattern 9966 under Period costumes. Mine looks just like the one on the website, except that the corset is navy with tan borders.

I've got the blouse and skirts done and am working on the corset right now.

Then I went to a sale at JoAnn's and found a ton of Renn patterns all on sale for $0.99! GRIN...I'll be busy for a while with those.

What else is everyone making as far as costumes right now?

    Several.

Jaina Solo, from the Jedi Academy

    Sailor Saturn, thanks to kreleia

I, too, bought 14 patterns at joAnn's about 6 months ago when they were 99 cents, so I have to pick one of those, too.

i'm working on a ghostbusters costume for comic con. we'll see how that turns out. ;p i bought about half the materials for the proton pack yesterday and i'll get started as soon as i figure out the bloody plans.

an example of what i'm looking at:

    [image=http://gbparts.danawheels.net/graphics/norm/page11.gif]

but when all is said and done, i think it'll be worth the pain it's guaranteed to be. :D

    Your Majesty,
I was going through my closet and found my old shirt from Impromptu...it was dyed in stages. They did it by hand...now I am curious to start playing...I would just hate to make the dress then turn around and mess it up doing the dye job...

Ohhh fun with dye! It is always a good idea to play with swatches of the fabric you're using first before attempting the whole thing.

Playing with dye is SOOO fun!!! Good luck with the dress Sistine

Notice to All PFF Rebel Commandos:

The Cloth Flight Helmet Pattern is nearing completion. :D It's been a little frustrating, but I just about have it done. Just finishing up the mods for the ear pieces and I should have a pattern set. Wish me luck!

Ok, if you do a Vash costume, I definitely have to do a Max Payne costume. For those not familiar with this character, check this and thisout.

I'd probably skip on the shoes and just wear black sneakers. Black jeans, black leather jacket, colorful overshirt, white undershirt, necklace, dye my hair a little and comb it the way I usually do. Oh, and walk around looking like I just sucked on a lemon.

    Yay! Costumes :D

I'm actually changing my major so I can concentrate on this more.

So instead of art, I'll be a Theater major :D Then of course I'll continue with my apparel design minor. I love those classes :) Right now I am working on a 1860's era corset. Very frustrating at times... grrr...
