    True enough.

I'm curious exactly how "mad" Luuke was, given that he didn't stick around long enough to show us. He was grown in around 5 years, which should be within the stable range of most Spaarti clones. He was obviously well within the dark side, but there are plenty of characters with their mental faculties intact that have been in that state.

Anyone know how long Dorsk 81/82's gestation was, or if it even bears similarity to the Spaarti process?

Another thing to consider is whether the C'Boath clone turned to the dark side because he was insane, or if he went insane after Palpatine turned him to the dark side.

My understanding is that the Khommites uses cloning more similar to Kaminoan cloning rather than the Spaarti method. In other words they are created in a lab and "born" when they are taken out of their little test tubes. So their gestation was probobly about 9 months, assuming they have the same life span as a human. They would probobly be taken out as soon as they can survive on their own.

What is the difference between the Kaminoan and the Spaarti methods of cloning?

The Kaminoans clone someone and manipulate the dna to make the clone more obedient and mature more rapidly. However, they harvest their clones at the approximate stage at which the clone would be born naturally. So Jangotat, for example, was harvested after 4.5 months (clones mature twice as fast as conceived humans), and then was raised by the Kaminoans for 10 years, drilling and training. Spaarti clones are grown to adulthood in their cloning cylinders. All their knowledge and training are imparted through flash-learning where the semi-conscious clones recieve a constant stream of audio/visual. When they are harvested they are already trained. Spaarti clones are all EXACTLY alike both physically and mentally and this is why their minds seem so strange to a Jedi when encountered as a group. Kaminoan clones are different mentally due to different experiences during training.

"He was grown in around 5 years,"

Luuke was not grown in 5 years- Joruus forced Pellaeon into getting him made up at the beginning of TLC.

Indeed you're right. Looks like it's time for another reread.

...and this is why their minds seem so strange to a Jedi when encountered as a group...

I think that's just speculation. The "why" has not been explained AFAIK.
