PT Could we see a rebooted prequal trilogy

And yet Trek was also rebooted. So many stories had been done, some of which were bad enough to result in a reboot. If Lucas had kept his company, he wouldn't ever do it and would have made sure that when it was passed on, that it wouldn't happen. But Disney is a business about money. If they feel the need, they'll do it. Sooner or later, every film will wind up being remade.

That's absurd. If you ask me, the OT spaceships and vehicles are way more satisfying than CGI special effects.

Trust me when we are all in our 60s-90s or dead. Star Wars will inevitably go the way of Peter Jackson King Kong/ 1998 Godzilla. Especially if the checkbook is in the mouse's hands. Hell... if what little I know about JJ is true the ST may already be a "semi-reboot"

Only in the future though, sarlaccsaurs-rex. Although it is only my opinion, the OT spaceships and vehicles still look amazing compared to the present. I'm sure the future will come up with something eventually that will overshadow, progress and all.

 

The OT vehicles and vessels do look amazing unfortunately many of the young do not appreciate practical effects and real models.

Unfortunately Cushy not think SW will ever be what it was to so many ever again. It completely different creature now that simply bears label.

 

To simply assume that because one is young and accustomed to modern day film effects automatically means they inherently prefer CGI over practical effects is a gross oversimplification

That isn't the line though.

"No, I am your father." is the line. There is no Luke.

It still gives the audience spine tingling chills even though we already know the scene and have seen it over and over again. It's not dependent on it being a surprise. It's dependent on it being a character moment and the prequels make it even stronger because now we know that story.

Why some people are so stuck on that moment and want to keep it a secret when it's been out for almost 40 years now I don't know.

The theoretical idea of watching the movies in one order or the other to keep it a secret is itself going to be washed away by the ST.

 

Go on Twitter and search "Star Wars Prequels " and sort by all tweets. That should give you a good barometer of people's feelings.

I think it be much more accurate to say many here don't want to see it happen but that it is likely down the line.

 

I could see the PT be as redone as the OT was.
