    Yes/No?

    Explain either way.

If yes, explain what your motivations could be.

Personally, I could. Self-defense, for the greater good (eg: killing Hitler), and for a significant sum of money.

In defense of myself or my loved ones, yes. In war... maybe. For money, no.

    Yes.

And if it weren't for the law and those little itty things called consequences, I'd do it for a lot less than you guys would.

I think I could in self-defense, or in the defense of another.

Yes I could. In defence of my family and friends; in defence of freedom; in defence of my country; in defence of what is right.

I just don't know. I mean, the thought sickens me, but if it were to save myself and/or someone I cared about... that would probably be the only time.

    I couldn't fight in a war.

Of course I could. In either self-defense, protection of loved ones, and if I was in a war.

Like many have already posted, if my life or my family's lives were in danger and I had the option I would take it. I would also surrender my life if I could ensure that they would escape unharmed.

Are all of you saying that you'd only kill for self-defense, defense of loved ones, or in a war? There's nothing that would make you mad enough that, even if your life wasn't in danger, you'd just go and kill the other guy?

Maybe in in self-defense,but I'd feel sick and miserable about it,no matter how despicable the person was.

In the Book of Mormon, a man named Captain Moroni expressed the things worth fighting (and therefore, killing, if need be) to defend. He tore his own coat to create a banner. On that banner, he wrote: "In memory of our God, our religion, and freedom, and our peace, our wives, and our children". He then raised this banner as a symbol and example to the people he was chosen to defend. With those words, he raised an army that successfully defended the liberty of his people.

Those are the same things that I would fight (and, if need be, kill) for today: my freedom, my religion (if it were being physically attacked), my family, my peace. What more is there that is worth fighting for?

Well, IAmTheDarkSide, actually, yes. But I'm hesitant to admit it.

I was hesitant to admit that, as well.

I've been to the line more times than I care to admit, where the thought of violence against someone who has wronged me comes to mind.

    But to kill him?

    No.

I could never take the life of another human unless there was a choice between him and one of the reasons I listed above.

    Could I? Yes.

Would I? Maybe not. I have better things to do. However, if the food supply starts running dry and it's every homo sapien for himself? Well, give me a fork and a knife and call me Hannibal...

    :D

Come to think of it... it's a recession and there's been droughts here and there...

I don't think I would kill for my religion Kimball.

Note that I said my religion (if it were being physically attacked), not just my religion. There is a big difference.

I don't think there should be a difference between the types of killing.

Even if my religion were being physically attacked, I wouldn't kill someone cause it's against one of the commandments.

I really don't know if i could bring myself to it. Ending someone else's life. If in self-defense...i'd try to injure them so they would no longer be able to harm me before i'd kill them.

unless....they were going on a killing rampage through my house and had just killed husband/children, then that sucker would die many times over.
