In defence of myself, my family, my friends, and my country, yes I could kill someone.

Out of hatred, because the sniveling little snot deserves it really bad, I've considered it but my answer would be no.

Me? No. It's a mortal sin against 'the 10 commandments' (the rules which I follow in my religion. I'm christian-catholic)

If my god told me to, I would.

if i was attacked, or one of my loved ones, i would defend them, but i would not go as far as to killing the attacker. but i would hurt them greatly! something like breaking arms and legs.

If god told me to kill another human, I'd know he isn't god and I'd tell him to go jump in a lake.

After all, if it really were god, god obviously could do the job him/her/itself... as is so abundantly pointed out time and time again... what with all the people god wiped out throughout history.

If someone else was in danger and couldn't defend themselves, and the only option was to kill the attacker, then I would. I don't know what I would do if it was me being attacked, but if it came to their life or mine, I could kill the person.

Ordinarily, I can't even bring myself to smack my own dog. I'm usually a fairly warm-hearted person. But if I could, I would lay waste to all muggers, rapists, drug lords, mob bosses, mob minions, pimps, dictators, oligarchs, tyrants, secret police drones, employers who publicly berate their employees, suit-wearing politicians, lawyers, bankers, corrupt business officialistas, freedom haters, advocates of totalitariansm, commies, Nazis, fascists, imperialists, corporatistas, child abusers, people who kill for money, and jackbooted government thugs, et al. And I would use any means at my disposal.

In defense of my friends/family: Of course
In defense of my country: Of course not
Just because they were asking for it and I know I wouldn't get caught: Of Course

Call me evil if you like, but if there were someone who had made my life miserable, and I could kill them and get away with it, I wouldn't think twice. ;)

LOL, I know exactly how you feel, and I feel exactly the same way.

I would kill in defense of my fanily and friends, but if the time came that I could kill a person who I really hated And I knew I would get away with it, I would not think twice about it. :)

Well, DAKAI, I follow the 10 commandments too, but then again, in the Bible the Israelites killed thousands and thousands of people, putting entire cities (including women and children) to the sword. And God helped them.

On the 'in defence of myself, my family' etc... in self defense, you needent kill your attacker. However, if it was absoloutely necessary, then yes, I would.

I hope to join the SASR when I get older, and killing people is part of their job, so I guess I could get used to it... probably because of the fact that the people being killed are evil men threatening freedom, my country, innocent people, ect and are usually terrorists.

There are so many factors. I can not just agree to a deal such as "Yo, pal, I got 100 mill if you whack the guy in this here picture". There is no way I could kill someone I do not know just for money. I would spend my post-assassination life wondering what he was like, what he could have done with his life, who knew him, who loved him.

Now, if someone came up to me on the street, and threatened to say, blow my friends brains onto the wall if I tried to stop him from say "hurting" her in any way shape or form. If I could do something to prevent it, without significant risks to my friend, or myself, I would have no trouble killing that guy. Afterwards, I would not regret anything, I would not feel sorry for the dead.

Same goes for the defense of myself.

Now, if my life was not in danger, there is one big condition. If I hated someone enough, and was convinced he was a bad person, I could kill him without any personally regret. However, I would not ruin my life, (legal wise) to take another.

    {no sexism implied with all the him/he or she/her, only used as examples}

If he was threatening me or my way of life to an extreme degree, yes I would kill a person.

Could I kill another human? Yes. If someone was inside my house, or outside my house on my property(and I was in fear of my life), or if someone is harming a loved one. And in war, kill away! The idea of killing someone is not some huge moral/emotional thing that would stick with me my whole life. I would just think, "hey, I killed someone!" I probably would kill for money, but it would depend on who it was, and it would have to be in the millions of dollars. I would want to be like The Jackal, not some 2 bit assasin for hire.

    Liquid Snake,

You don't get used to it. Sometimes it has to be done. I would rather shoot the punk on the street robbing a liquor store, using intimidation and fear, than a fellow combatent in war.

If I would have seen that guy in Missouri who stomped on a kitten and put on the grill, I would probably be in prison right now. But he would have been thinking about that for the rest of his life from his wheel chair.

So if someone came after my family, or I need to reasonably defend myself, yes I would kill the attacker. BTW, and I don't feel like getting up to get my Concordance off the shelf, the word in the 10 Commandments is translated murder. Yes, there is a difference between taking a life in a pre-meditated act of selfishness, and defending you and your family, or someone who needs protection.

I would never kill, for any reason. I am an anti-violent person. I couldn't hit some one, much less kill them. Becuase I think, even if it was for the "greater good" the thought of killing that person would stick with me for the rest of my life. And I would probably end up commiting suicide after a couple years. And I see no reason to kill another human being based upon their belief's either. Don't get me wrong, some belief's like Nazi's and Hitler's are totally messed up, and I would do almost anything in my power to stop them from killing another, but I would never go so far to kill one of them.
