    Thanks for the replies! You know what's also interesting. Since the Jedi thought Dooku was the master (or didn't know) than they could have thought Sidious was the apprentice but Dooku was really ploting the downfall of the Jedi but since he died, sidious took over.

    ^I don't think so.
    The Jedi were well aware of Darth Sidious, as I hear is described in the LoE book (though I've never read it).

    The Novelization of RotS also explains that they knew Sidious was the master, and I seem to recall them mentioning it in the movie too.
