There isn't an official release date, so can't exactly have a countdown clock.

    Great point!

    Getting ahead of myself.

Okay just read July 17th, 2015 in another thread . . . so not ahead of myself.

That date was taken from IMDB . . . NOT that it makes it concrete official.

Hypothetically speaking, if we were to add such a countdown clock to this forum, what should our target date be? 5/25/2015?

    According to IMDB I guess it's July 17th 2015 . . . 7.17.2015

I know several websites or people or whatever had them running for the prequels.

Screw what IMDB says. They just want to have a date on everything and they are known for guessing release dates when none is available.

If there was an official release date, it would have been announced by Lucas Film/Disney.

They used to. Back in the era of bullet time, Ally McBeal, and Microsoft 98. We were all drinking Surge and eating 3D Doritos.
    WIERD_GREEN_MAN and Grimby like this.
