The text suddenly got boldfaced in the skills listing for the following Jedi - Ban-Yaro, Jon Antilles, Kai Justiss,

Ban-Yaro - Where did the Reliable Boon and Skill Boon talents come from? The Tech Specialist talent tree for Scoundrels? Also, you listed Ban-Yaor before B'Dard Tone. But when I type their names and then use the sort in alphabetical order command, B'Dard Tone comes first.

B'ink Utrila - you have Share Talent in Special Actions and Share Talent (Niman) in Talents. Shouldn't it be Share Talent (Niman)?

Caudle - selfbuilt should be self-built

Fay - what made you decide to make her an Arkanian offshoot/Sephi hybrid. In the RCRB version, she was a Sephi. Regardless of her heritage, she was definitely exquisite.

Glynn-Beti - is that a sample of the new guy's art? It definitely has an anime feel to it. Shouldn't her lightsaber blade be blue or green? Her Force powers should be in alphabetic order.

Kai Justiss - Shryiiwook should be Shyriiwook. Also, you have Shake It Off listed in the Special Action section and not in the Talents

Knol Ven'nari - Initiate of Vahl? That's a surprise. I would think this would be exclusive to the Vahl.

L?lacielo Sageon - Improvisor - is that the way it's spelled?

Nico Diath - shouldn't Force techniques be before Force secrets?

Voolvif Monn - I recalled the scene where he and Anakin were fighting side by side. What made you decide that they were fighting on Arkania?

You seem to be giving a good number of Jedi the form Juyo. I can see a lightsaber master like Cin Drallig knowing that form. But Shon Kon Ray and others?

All good catches. You're correct on the majority of them. I'll be sure to correct them with the next revision.

With Ban-yaro, Reliable Boon and Skill Boon are Noble talents that come from Galaxy of Intrigue, the Superior Skills talent tree on page 21.

I decided that Fay was a Arkanian/Sephi hybrid because of new information that came about through the KOTOR comic book series. Arca Jeth was a hybrid, and the character Jarael was as well. The facial tattoos and other characteristics were too similar for me to think it was a coincidence. She has fair skin, pointy ears, is long-lived, etc. It can be argued that she's an Arkanian/Sephi hybrid or an offshoot/Sephi, I suppose, but I decided to go with the latter.

With Knol Ven'Nari, there's nothing that specifically prohibits you from taking the talents, and they fit the build I was trying to achieve so I went for it. Bothans have a different set of morals than most of the galaxy, and while Vahl is a dark side cult, there wasn't anything keeping me from doing it. She had a gift for fire, so she could pass their trials, and she was rather gruff, like she had a dark streak. Plus she was a nomadic Jedi, so who's to say what talents she may have picked up on her travels?

The Arkania thing was me putting two and two together. The scene fits near the Battle of Arkania in the timeline, and Arkania is an ice planet. Plus it's heavy in mineral and jewel deposits, and the home of Arkanian Micro, so it makes sense that the Separatists would want to take control of the planet, and it would also stand to reason that the Republic would want to defend it with some of their best Jedi, like Aayla Secura and Anakin.

As far as the juyo goes, I wouldn't say 4 Jedi Masters is excessive. This is Juyo we're talking about, not Vaapad. Juyo is rarer than Forms 3, 4, and 5 in the Jedi Order, but it's not unheard of by a long shot. Echuu Shen-Jon was a former apprentice of Mace Windu, so it makes sense that he would have learned a thing or two about Juyo and Vaapad. B'dard Tone was slipping to the Dark Side for a while before he left, so I think it's reasonable to think he would adopt some aggressive lightsaber techniques. Shon Kon Ray I statted as a silent takedown specialist, which is fitting for the power, and Jon Antilles is just a rogue - former apprentice of the Dark Woman. I don't think any of those characters seem out of place by having them, and keep in mind that these are Jedi MASTERS we're talking about. If anyone would have Juyo abilities, it would be them. I'd also point out that none of them have the Juyo talent, which indicates mastery in the form.

I know, I know, I'm a horrible person because the chapter is 11 days late. My sincerest apologies. Life has had a way of interfering in my fan-sourcebook creation time of late. Anyway, the new chapter is finally here, and I have to say, it was a beast to do. A lot of research went into this one, particularly for Kal Skirata and Walon Vau, which required reading some 4 novels over again and taking notes. Some might balk at the higher levels used here, but keep in mind the Cuy'val Dar was the very best Jango could find as of a decade before Geonosis, and many of them went back to a mercenary lifestyle during the Clone Wars. I figured if they are the best of the best, they must be pretty high level.

There are a few surprises in here as well in the realm of more optional rules. Similar to complications that we introduced in the Kaminoan chapter, here we have Injuries. Perisistent Conditions were not getting the job done for things like Kal Skirata's limp or partial deafness, so I just went ahead and made a new category of status to handle it. Also, we have one regular reader obsessed with Threelin and entertainers, and just for him, and because Wad'e Tay'haai required it, we went ahead and put out a feat line for being a musician. We went with feats so that non-heroic characters could take this line of feats as NPCs (after all, most musicians, I'd imagine, are not heroes). There are also a number of new weapons, and even a new weapon template.

Anyway, as always, I am eager to hear your thoughts, questions, and in detail about any errors or disagreements you might have with anything presented here in the chapter (or previous chapters, for that matter). Thanks for reading!

You brought in Dred Priest, Isabet Reau, and Rav Bralor from the Bounty Hunter and Mercenaries chapter back in April and updated their stats. I take the ones in this chapter are now the official ones?

You have X for the Organization Score for the following: B?Arin Apma, Bric, Cort Davin, El-Les, Kal Skirata, Llats Ward, Wad?e Tay?haai, and Walon Vau. Why?

B?Arin Apma ? Ghost Assailant ? don?t recall that one.

B?Arin Apma, Mij Gilamar, Walon Vau ? [3] should be 3.

B?Arin Apma, Cort Davin ? He appeared as a toy and has a short Wookiepedia entry. Some of the entry you provided is your creation, right?

Kal Skirata ? Should you have put (understand only) with Shyriiwook? Also, you increased some of his skills, but you didn?t increase any of his ranks. An error?

Wad?e Tay?haai ? Languages should be in alphabetical order.

As for your Musician feats, I have to admit that?s a new twist on things. I can already see a number of people acquiring these feats: Sy Snootles, Max Rebo and his band, and Tionne Solusar.

Yes, when I did Rav, Dred and Isabet last time, I went pretty basic with them, Isabet's stats actually didn't change, but Dred and Rav did to make them both truer to their characters as I saw them, and offer up some more variety in PRCs among the Cuy'val Dar. While naturally you can use whichever set of stats you like better, the older ones will eventually go away as that chapter gets integrated to the larger section it is a part of.

Ghost Assailant is an official scout talent, Galaxy at War page 20.

I'm glad you enjoyed the musician feat line! There are a number of characters possessed of musical talent, from a number of clones or mandalorians singing Vode An to Fi'grin Dan and the Modal Nodes, Ewoks celebrating a victory, Gungans celebrating a victory with a parade, and countless other examples. Music has the power to heal and inspire, so I tried to keep the effects within that range.

The republic faction thing...whoops. We really should have deleted that line out. I need to sit down and build a Republic or Grand Army of the Republic organization chart with the ranks and the like. They were intended to be placeholders. When clones are done-done (im already working on templates), the kaminoans and cuy'val dar will be combined with the clones and a number of other smaller sections for completeness and ease of access. Expect that to get fixed up then.

As for the other more formatting and "im-an-idiot" issues you saw, well spotted! Thanks so much, we really do appreciate you helping us make our product better.

I got the The Clone Wars Incredible Vehicles in the mail today, and I'm looking through it. For the most part, I don't think you need to change what you have. The only change I can see so far is the name of the Trident ship. Furthermore, the book contains info on all the vehicles seen in the first three seasons. I can PM you a listing unless you already have the book.

My pre-ordered copy from amazon should be here by tuesday at the latest. The vehicles chapter is long overdue for an update. I'm actually going through quite a bit of it as we speak for the Republic Clone section, but expect an actual update to that chapter (along with 25 or so new vehicles) to be the thing I work on next once I get through all the clones (there are a lot of them, but thankfully most of them are sidebar-grade characters undeserving of the full write up and stat treatment.)

Alright, so our latest page (page 5) of our Lumiya: Dark Lady of the Sith comic has gone up! Drawn by Aaron Johnson and colored by our own Steve Criado, the story focuses on the transition between Shira Brie: Agent of the Empire, and the Dark Lady Lumiya. Enjoy!

Also, I got my copy of the vehicle book, its lovely. Lots of new names for things! I'll be updating the vehicle chapter probably near the end of the year or early next year.

Alright, 5 days late, but as Tron mentioned the other day in our Cuy'val Dar thread, he just started school. So this actually marks the final Jedi section. Jedi are basically done! I can't even begin to tell you how happy Tron is about that. Now, that said, he will spend the next 3 months updating ALL the Jedi, and assembling them all in one massive doc, the fabled Jedi Recompile. Expect that go to live Dec 1st. As always, you can download our free fan sourcebooks at http://www.fandomcomics.com

The chapter features 18 Jedi Masters, including original art by TJ Collgan, Fritz Aldrin Casas and Shawn Vrabel that we had created during the D20R days. It also features three all-new pin-ups by new Fandom artists Eli Johnson and Jonas Scharf. Eli did the Taria Damsin (of Clone Wars Gambit dualogy fame), which Jonas colored, and Jonas also created pin-ups for Jedi outfitter L'lacielo Sageon and Jedi healer Vokara Che. All three characters are never before pictured, and beautifully rendered!

In another announcement, and we have been sitting on this one for quite some time, I hope you guys really enjoyed the two pin-ups by Jonas Scharf, because starting October 15th, we will begin posting a Cracken's Crew mini-comic drawn by him! Planned for 12 pages, the cover and first four pages are already completed. The story tells the tale of Cracken's Crew team medic Ander Raktison and his first mission with the Crew. Starring a number of familiar faces from our Cracken's Crew comic include Ander, Breen, Sadorssk and Reeto, the comic also features famous General of the Rebellion, General Rieekan! Rieekan is stranded on a swamp-covered planet named Dankayo and needs an extraction, and only Cracken's Crew is close enough to get the job done! On the first we are likely to post some pre-production artwork for the new comic, and we will begin to alternate page posts on teh 15th of the month with the Lumiya comic. Jonas is also availble for paid commission work, and his e-mail address can be found on our staff page.

Comic news aside, Tron and myself can't wait to hear all your opinions and all about any errors you might spot in the new doc! The next few weeks are def the best time to let Tron know about any issues you spot in any of the Jedi Docs, as he is going through them carefully to catch any errors over the next months. I hope everyone has a great Labor Day Weekend!

Hi, guys. Hope you enjoyed Labor Day weekend.

I was wondering why you repeated the resist aging talent, but then I saw you gave that talent to the Dark Woman. You have that listed as a special quality, but not as a Force talent in her stats. Also, I know Tholme's the only confirmed Jedi who knew her real name, but I'm almost certain Yoda knew as well. Also, you listed phase as one of her powers. I have no problem with that. But I recall when Gry Sarth and cheshire did the d6 conversion for The Clone Wars RPG supplement from Wizards of the Coast, his reaction to converting this power - "No. Just no..."[face_laugh]

I was going to ask why you included L?lacielo Sageon when you featured him in the first part, but I see you included detonate in his knowledge of Force powers.

Dark Woman ? why did you give her resist aging? I question that because I saw her appearance in the Tales comic in which Darth Vader caught up with her and killed her. And she definitely aged since Order 66.

Arligan Zey ? in the RCRB version, you listed that he could speak Huttese and Neimoidian. But not here. An inadvertent omission, or a planned change? Also, you listed the stats for him as of Order 66. Do you mean the novel Order 66 or the novel Imperial 501st? You have Master Advisor as a talent but not as a special action. Is that correct?

Detonate ? I?m surprised you gave this to Dass Jennir, Iri Camas, and L?lacielo Sageon . I usually associate this with Mace Windu?s shatterpoint ability in that to use detonate, one must first know shatterpoint. And I usually think that shatterpoint is one of those abilities that only a select few in the old Jedi Order knew. Included in this group of abilities are malacia and morichro.

Dass Jennir and K?Kruhk ? shouldn?t they have gotten at least one DSP because of their questionable actions after Order 66.

Freaking Sweet Hat ? seeing this listed was freaking sweet. [face_laugh] I?m surprised you didn?t create a special talent whereby this hat bestows upon the wearer immortality. [face_laugh]

Roan Shryne ? I recall the vision he had. I know he foresaw the fall of the Empire, but I don?t think he saw Darth Vader?s/Anakin Skywalker?s redemption.

Taria Damsin - You know, I think you based her picture after an illustration I saw in one of the old WEG sourcebooks and/or the picture of the Inflitrator in the WotC books.

Tera Sinube ? you have Force Point Recovery, a Force technique, listed as a Force secret.

Tholme ? I?m a little surprised his Use the Force skill is a little low. I would have thought it would be at least 15.

Vokara Che ? should low-light vision be Low-light vision?
You need to keep an eye on where you put the solid lines. Sometimes you have it between the Force power/techniques etc. section and the Dex, Str, etc. section, and sometimes you have it between the latter and the Talents

Why did you include Broken will when you didn?t list it in any of the stats here?

Wow, lots of comments. Lemme go through them one by one.

Yeah, Dark Woman received the Resist Aging talent, so we've republished it in this release for completeness. I have it in Special Qualities, so that the reader knows what age range she's at physically. Then it's in her Talents (which it is, I double-checked) as well. As far as her real name is concerned, I'm sure there are other Jedi that know her real name, but Tholme is the only one confirmed to know. We're all about continuity and whatnot, you know. Our adherence to canon is also why I gave her the phase ability. If you remember in our d20R release, we played that ability up as her mastery of illusions and a flair for the dramatic. However, since then, we've had one source confirming her knowledge and use of the phase ability (Clone Wars Campaign Guide), as well as two or three other characters in the Star Wars universe possessing the ability. I hate it, I think it sucks, but it's canon, so I've got to include it :/

We changed Sageon's technometry ability to detonate, because Technometry was such a rare ability, and because detonate seemed so much more fitting to the character. Plus we had to publish that badass pin-up that Jonas drew. Pretty awesome, isn't it?

I gave Dark Woman resist aging because in Jedi: Aayla Secura, she's clearly not super, super old, probably mid-50s to early-60s if I had to guess, however, she was a Jedi Knight when she discovered Ki-Adi Mundi on Cerea when he was 4 years old. Ki-Adi was 73 years old when he died. That means Dark Woman has to be AT LEAST 90 during Jedi: Aayla, and pushing 120 when Vader kills her a few months before Yavin. Sure, she looks old in that comic, but not 120 years old.

The change to Zey's languages can be chalked up to Keith writing the d20R version, and I wrote the Saga version. In my research, I didn't find any evidence he could speak any other languages, but given his position and the type of Jedi he was, I assigned languages that seemed to fit.

Detonate, to me, is just using telekinesis to push something apart from the inside. I wouldn't say that it's a power restricted to heavily-experienced Jedi per se than it is a specific application of telekinesis. Then again, this IS the Jedi Master chapter, so if you're going to see it at all, it would be here.

The stats for any character with the time stamp "Order 66" speaks to the execution of the clone order to kill the Jedi, not the Karen Traviss novel. So while Dass Jennir and K'kruhk don't have Dark Side points when that happens, that isn't to say they don't gain them later.

Hah, well... I think I reflected in K'kruhk's stats an affinity for cheating death enough that he doesn't need a magical hat. It is a pretty freakin' sweet hat though...

I'd have to go back and re-read it, but during my research I'm pretty sure it said Roan had a vision of the Vader and the Emperor killing each other after Vader's son redeemed him.

The Taria Damsin picture was all Eli and Keith's doing. I'm sure it drew inspiration from somewhere, but I can neither confirm nor deny the source of said inspiration ;)

Woops on Tera Sinube! That'll get fixed in the final compile. I must've brain-farted when selecting his secret and wrote it down wrong because I don't have a secret in my working file either.

Don't forget that Tholme loses 2 to Use the Force on account of having 2 cybernetic implants.

Vokara Che, no, it's "low-light vision" in the official books.

I see on Iri Camas, L'lacielo Sageon, and Maks Leem I screwed up one of the lines, I'll be sure to take care of that.

Dur, Broken Will should be listed in the Special Qualities for Arligan Zey.

Awesome, thanks for all the good catches :)

As far as the phase issue goes, I don't have that much of a problem with it, so long as it's not overused. By overused I mean it should be one of those powers that only a select few Jedi know how to use.

Alright, its a week late, but only because this chapter was a LOT longer than we realized, and editing and formatting took forever. There are about 60 stat blocks in 18 template categories to represent clone troopers and all the various specialties, including more experienced versions. This chapter also reprints (with updates) the equipment chapter, though not in its entirety. We only reprinted the stuff used by clones. As always, I look forward to hearing your thoughts on the chapter. Next month, I will continue to work on clones, and post a series of sidebar characters, sort of a mini encyclopedia for unique clones that I don't plan to do actual stat blocks and normal write ups for. I will also likely include an updated section that contains all the vehicles used by the clones (also updated). Finally, teh month after that, I will do the clone characters (around 30 or so) that deserve a unique stat block, and compile the previous two versions with it, so that we have one nice mini clone trooper sourcebook. That should be up Dec 1st ish. After that we get the grand Jedi recompile from Tron on Jan 1st, which will be very similar in terms of structure.

Also, in one week, check back at our site, www.fandomcomics.com for the launch of our new comic! Cracken's Crew: First Missions is an anthology project that explores the first missions of a number of members of Cracken's Crew during the fight against the Galactic Empire through a series of mini comics (6-14 page stories). Our first story will focus on the team medic, Ander. Check out the first several pages of Ander's Story, which will alternate months with our already popular Lumiya: Dark Lady of the Sith comic, updates on the 15th of each month!

    Enjoy!

Decibel shielding ? Wouldn?t they offer protection against sonic grenades as well, assuming they exist.

Mitronomin Z-6 Rocketpack ? shouldn?t it be jetpack?

Where did you get these pieces of equipment: Merr Sonn RT-12 Jetpack, Magnatomic Boots, Aratech Hover Pack

There are vehicles in the list of vehicles and their official sources that aren?t on the list of ships the clone pilots can fly. Like the ARC 170.

Hey Ally, thanks for the heads up! A sharp eye as always! We didn't have it provide protection vs sonic weaponry because sonic rifles and pistols, canon flavor wise, are emiting sonic energy that doesn't achieve its damage through noise so much as vibration/shockwave. Ear protection wouldn't really assist when your organs being vibrated to death is the real problem. As for the rest of the equipment, it should be listed within the front of the chapter...if we somehow missed something, that is our fault. I'll have tron double-check everything just to be sure. Rocketpack for the Z6 was what I found, but I can re-research it just to check. As for the clone pilots and vehicles listing, maybe you can rephrase that for me? I'm not 100% sure I understand what you are saying, though that might be because it is late, sorry.

also, I know its a lot later than we intended, but I'm very proud to announce that we just put up a new star wars fan comic. Cracken's Crew: First Missions! This is a spin-off anthology series of vignettes that give short comic stories (12 pages max), each focusing on the first mission of a member of Cracken's Crew (from our flagship title). This first story focuses on the team medic, Ander Raktison.

Written by myself, and with beautiful art by Jonas Scharf (who you might recognize from two recent pinups in the jedi master sections of our Clone Wars Fan Sourcebook (l'lacielo sageon and the jedi healer vokara che). Ryan took care of the lettering (and truly outdid himself this time out). We have posted the cover, credits page, and pages 1 and 2 of the 12 page story. 7 pages of the artwork are actually already banked for future updates, though Jonas is continuing to work on the remainder of the script (which is also long since finished). We have been sitting on this announcement for quite some time now, and are extremely excited to finally share it with you all!

Yeah, it would seem that as has been happening for the past five years, I am completely unable to stay on schedule for our Nov 1st and Dec 1st updates. Odds are we will be back in force Jan 1st, as typically happens. The clones chapter has just turned out to be SO much more massive than I could have imagined, and real life stuff has been very distracting of late. Sorry!

I seem to recall you doing the same thing last year - declaring that nothing would be presented in November and December in order to rest, deal with DRL, and have time to do the work. Maybe that should be established policy for you and Tron.

Hey guys, almost didn't have an update again this month, but I went ahead and threw something together that I thought some of you might find useful. I went ahead and reprinted all of our republic vehicles for the Clone Wars era with all the crew stats stripped out so that the vehicles are just with base stats, and added some empty boxes for you to add in your own PC crew quickly. I also went ahead and reprinted all my clone trooper templates that apply to vehicle operation, though the stat blocks are stripped down to only those features that relate to vehicle operation. This makes it a bit faster to plug those items into the crew-stripped vehicle stats. Finally, I went ahead and listed every crew position and the official list of actions they are allowed to take while functioning as that position. There are some other minor new additions here, in that I provide 3 optional crew positions for those who would like to use them, as well as "command styles", an optional rule that gives some flavor to the commander crew position.

Unfortunately, the clone naval officer template and the stripped out capital ships did not make it into this update, they were written, but severely flawed, and fixing it would have delayed us by about a week from the time we caught it, so we were forced to just omit it. they will make their way back in to a recompile.

In general, I'd really like to hear what you guys think of the stripped out stat blocks, and if they are useful for you. If they are, we can go ahead and make this sort of section a feature of every sort of faction-based recompile. Anyway, enjoy!

Hey, guys. I was kinda expecting the chapter to deal with Rex, Cody, Boost, Sinker, and all the other guys.

As for this chapter, I can't really make any comments on it one way or another.

Well, it's been another whirlwind year for all of us. Hope you and your families enjoy the holidays. I'll be waiting for what you guys come up with in 2012.

yeah unfortunately the time just wasnt there for me to put in to get my end done for the clone NPCs of note chapter. I'm still working on the sidebar minor clone characters, adn THAT is tentatively scheduled for jan 1st. then the clones of note should be feb 1st. Then the jedi recompile mar 1st. After that I should probably do a clone recompile that takes the entirity of season 4 into account of the show, just so we can lock those two sections of the book, before I move back to fringers and tron cleans up dark siders, non-jedi force users, non-clone republic and separatist characters. Somewhere in there we need to update vehicles as well, but otherwise, that is what should consume 2012.

Very slow! Life just got very busy for both of us suddenly. In the next few months here we may jump back into the project, but for the moment, it is sort of on hold. If I'm being honest, I have a feeling we will chip away at the clones and jedi chapters and finish those, and then probably be done with the project, perhaps doing an update a year from now. That said, we are keeping up with our comics. I think I've just reached a point where I need to focus on writing projects that might put a few dollars in my pocket, and the monthly effort required for the sourcebook chapters is immense and all-consuming for the most part. Ryan is facing a similar issue, though his focus is more on school. So we are playing it month to month, but for the moment, we are on sabbatical.
