I thought that I would start this thread because of my passion for AOTC toys. I will
update this thread whenever there is any news.

I miss that toy...the trash compactor, the cool elevator, the gun, the trap door, retracting bridge...

Would this be the 4th Jango and 37th Qui-Gon? ;P (And, where's my Coleman Trebor figure??)

I miss playsets too... big, epic, $200 ones like the Death Star or G.I.Joe aircraft-carrier. The new Geonosis Arena set looks like crap, but it's at least a small step in the right direction.

Its a order/pre-order page for the US Wal-Mart. No they won't ship to Canada, I checked, but it does give the prices and release dates.

There is a playset there as you can see, and most importantly for me, my interactive Artoo with a Aug 15th availability date!!

I know I'll be doing a run across the border that day.

not that its a sw thing, but i noticed in toyfare that this summer a line of muppet show figures is due out along with a line of gargoyle figures....sigh...money tree where are you?????

Does that mean that the June 7 release of this wave is out the window, Mike?

 

HI DB, It think that June 7 is the date that
shipments are expected in Canada. My guess would be that the stores should be receiving
and putting them out by Wednesday of next week. The Jango Fett figure is very nice and
is my favorite Jango figure so far. I got mine in LA. remember that patience is a virtue ( I do not have any !!!) and we will get all these basic figures in time. Unless you collect the different carded picture like the our Forum boss does, Then you will have to make a trip
across the pond as well...

Hey Woofer when is the date and the price on that interactive R2? You may not have to make a separate trip if it's out by the time of the camping trip. Hopefully, we can just do a toy run and camping then to look innocent at the border.

Sanbas, unfortunately it is expected out about 2 weeks after the Darien Lake thing. Just have to cross that border twice in August is all.

 

I think if we wait John we will save the exchange and the shipping but I never claimed to be a smart guy. I have a connection at Toys R Us who has confirmed that R2's sku # is on their system.

Since you are driving over anyways you do not have to worry about the shipping so I
think that the prices should be about the
same. In that case maybe you can help a fellow old guy out

Ok, thanks Mike. As for AOTC stuff, I'm ripping them open so I could care less for US/Canada versions, variants and cardback stuff. I've learned my lesson with all the Darth Maul stuff I used to have and some that I still have which I'll be bringing to the swap meet.

I'm only really waiting for the Bespin Luke and Vader. That's about it. Geez, would it kill Hasbro to make more new characters?

I would love see at least a "maybe" from Hasbro concerning characters like Coleman Trebor, Butlar Swan and other lesser Jedi's instead of zillions of Jango's.

I'm still waiting for someone to post if there is anything new at the Silver Snail today. After all, it's Wednesday which means new shipment day.

Thanks CrazyMike. I am a big collector so I appreciate the update. I have been waiting to hear about some of the figs you mentioned.

 

Just FYI, a friend of mine who works at Toys'R'Us was telling me today about an exclusive 12 inch Mace Windu that is coming soon.
I don't have more details then that, but he said it looked really cool...

 

Well it is going to be a busy 6 months with all the figures and ships that are coming down the pipe. I dont know where I am going to put everything. There are also yellow and red 12" clone troopers coming out at KB Toys in a few weeks...

 

Yeah I heard about them. I stopped collecting the 12" figs. The only one I still have is my Obi-Wan.
