Lulu_Mars I always thought that if there was a fourth trilogy, it would be like, the QT or something (quartiary trilogy)

I don't think "quartiary" is even a word, but I've seen it used

The Christian parallel could turn a few people off, so it'll never happen, but I quite like it solely as a set of names.

Incidentally, GL's 1980s/early 1990s quotes about the ST being 'ethereal' and "out there somewhere" have led to a fair bit of misinterpretation (by Mark Hamill in particular) - what he really meant was that the actual story was still just a vague concept in his own mind, as opposed to the PT, which already had a pretty solid structure in a broad sense, having been established as the backstory for the OT.

I always liked the era titles from the EU:

Ep. I-III: Rise of the Empire
    Ep. IV-VI: Rebellion
Ep. VII-IX: New Jedi Order? (This is the corresponding era in the current EU, but depending on the content of the ST may not be applicable.)

However, I feel like "trilogy" should be in there, given how important the three film structure is to Star Wars, in which case simpler titles would read better. Maybe borrow titles from the comic series:

    Ep. I-III: The Republic Trilogy
    Ep. IV-VI: The Empire Trilogy
Ep. VII-IX: The Legacy Trilogy (I think it's a fairly safe bet that legacies will be ones of the main themes in the ST.)

I think I would go with "Definitely Don't Watch This If You Consider Yourself a Hardcore Fan". ;)

I think Ender Sigh would need to be institutionalized if that ever happened.

Interesting, I would have called the PT the Jedi trilogy (because they were around), and the OT the Sith Trilogy, because they were in charge.

    PT - Republic Era
    OT - Empire Era
    ST - ??

Also, to reiterate what Han Burgandy is trying to say: 50 to 100 years from now, most people aren't going to really know/care that the OT was made first. After the whole thing is done, it won't make much sense to call episodes 1-3 the "prequels", because it won't really matter or be obvious that they were made after 4-6.

I can imagine a future bar trivia question asking "Which episode of the Star Wars Saga was made first?", and someone who is yet to be born faintly remembering his grandpa telling him or her that episodes 4-6 were once called the "original" trilogy . . .

So where do 'Once Upon a Time a Jedi' and 'Duck, You Sith' (aka 'A Fistful of the Force') fit in there?

As a Sergio Leone fan (my character's name in SW Galaxies was Tuco), I loved this little treat in the TCW Season 2 boxset:

    Fantastic! Tuco...love that!

So the SW saga has already touched upon the classic Western genre it seems - great poster.

Yeah, i can understand this interpretation. I went with this of course because of the final movie of each trilogy being "Sith" and "Jedi", and each trilogy being a build up to each order's dominance or victory.
