Satisfied, Oliver sighed heavily. People had considered him checking his Lightsaber to be an OCD, though, it was always more of a precaution, after all, it would be unfortunate if it were to short out during a mission because of a missing part.

“Where did you get the crystal for that thing?”

Oliver turned around looking at the face of the woman with pink hair. Before this, she had seemed antagonistic towards him and the Jedi, but now, she seemed more curious than antagonistic. He thought heavily for a way that answered the question without it seeming spiteful, knowing that the answer would be disappointing.

“Well, it wasn’t found,” he said nervously, hoping he could avoid starting an argument. “Since the Empire tore apart any areas where natural crystals were, we have to make them, they’re synthetic crystals.”

Dodging the fact that synthetic crystals were primarily used by the Sith, Oliver looked to down upon the hilt and continued. “It’s placed within an energy chamber, directly below a focusing lens which allows the energy to be chanelled into a blade.”

He pointed along the hilt. “Below the crystal are a power vortex ring and a power field conductor, these contain the root of power, the diatium power cell.”

    OOC: Welcome, @WarmNyota_SweetAyesha!

    IC: CeCe Barula

    Inside the Bleeding Heart ship

Being inside hyperspace sent chills down CeCe's spine. Both with amazement and a little bit of terror. At times, she felt as if she was traveling through time. What if they ended up in another time? Past or future? That would be interesting and scary. But she knew such things couldn't happen. Furthermore, the thought of colliding with a star or other dangers in the galaxy was unnerving for a skilled pilot such as herself. This was definitely a strange galaxy.

Plus, there was the Jedi who used the Force. She thought the Force was mumbo-jumbo at first. But after eluding her 'Jedi playmate' a lot of times, she thought of it as intriguing. Kyp was a powerful and determined Jedi. She admired that. But how would this Jedi named Oliver be in battle? She couldn't wait to see him in action, as well as Dasha.

The young woman glanced over at Oliver as he levitated his lightsaber, taking it apart. There, in the center, was an illuminating blue crystal. It was the most beautiful object CeCe ever saw. Grinning at it and Oliver, she became more intrigued with the Jedi and their tools. She herself wondered what it would be like to be a Jedi. Once Oliver explained about the lightsaber and its parts, the vigilante said, "That's very cool..." Once they got to Worlport, she couldn't wait to fight beside Dasha and Oliver. These two seemed alright so far, seeing that the galaxy was full of untrustworthy people. But these guys seemed cool.

Finally, the Bleeding Heart's control panel beeped, indicating that they were arriving at Ord Mantell. "Well'p, looks like we're coming up on Ord Mantell. Hang on." Upon exiting hyperspace, the freighter arrived above the planet. The view of the oceans and lands could be seen with clouds swirling above them. The sight wasn't as beautiful as Naboo, but at least it wasn't a dust bowl like Tatooine.

Once the freighter entered the atmosphere of the planet, the Bleeding Heart came to the docking bay and began to land. The city of Worlport was under attack, people were scattering to get away, and a few smokes rose in the air. CeCe shook her head with shock and sadness. "By the stars... Those innocent people."

    City of Worlport, Ord Mantell

The city was under attack by dark forces! Why these people wanted to assemble innocent people was a question on anyone's mind. A mother and her 4-year-old son was one of the people that sat in line with the other inhabitants. There was a blue, male Twi'lek who looked like he was in command. The young mother, who held her son's hand, stood up with a glare at Tep. "Why are you doing this? These people did nothing to you! Why can't you cruel and despicable people leave us alone?!" The little boy held his mother's hand in tears, hoping she would not get hurt.

Location: Bleeding Heart - nearing Ord Mantell

Whills leaned back after explaining the lightsaber parts, a smug smile on his face after having successfully memorised the names of the parts.

“That’s very cool...” CeCe said, causing Oliver to blush slightly.

“Thank you very much,” he replied, spinning the hilt in his hand in an attempt to appear more impressive.

The control panel began beeping, they were about to exit hyperspace. He reached for his belt, taking out his comlink. “Master Skywalker, we’re nearing Ord Mantell, any information about what’s going on down there?”

“None yet, I have to warn you though, we detected another ship follow you into hyperspace,” Skywalker warned.

Oliver knew who it was, it was obvious now that he would follow them to where they’re going. The question he had was why? What would the Kalleran gain from following them to Ord Mantell?

“Thanks Master, may the Force be with you,” Oliver replied.

“May the Force be with you too, Oliver,” Luke said as Oliver turned off the comlink. He looked out the window as the ship left hyperspace, allowing him to see Ord Mantell. It looked different to how he had expected it, he had expected it to be a grimy and barren world, instead, it looked very similar to Lothal, albeit, looking more brown. The ship landed on the planet, where they could see the chaos that was occuring.

“By the stars... Those innocent people,” CeCe said in shock.

Oliver watched on, turning off the safety on his Lightsaber and pulling out his DT-29. “Let’s go, we can’t help them by sitting here.”

He then rose from his seat and started to leave the cockpit, making his way to the landing ramp. Ready for what was out there, he pressed the ignition on his Lightsaber and with a powerful cracking noise, the blue blade rose from the hilt.

Sevrina frowned and her blue-green eyes swept the chaotic scene.

"When Master Kirana asked me to check this out... I never would have guessed it would be so ... " Her voice trailed off in sympathy. Though she had no doubt the Dathomirian Jedi would welcome the opportunity to butt heads with the attackers here.

Sevrina's Force talents lay in being able to navigate hyperspace convolutions and pilot through tricky space anomalies.

She was glad to have someone who could slice through the intricacies of fact and fiction as easily, as she felt Mara Jade would be able to.

Mara smirked. Her boss, Talon Karrde, also wanted to know what was up with all the rumors. He wanted to sift fact from fiction.

Her heart clenched at the thought that at one time she might be one of the ones herding innocents to an unsavory end. She pushed that thought resolutely aside. The past was just that, the past.

Focus on the present, she told herself.

She checked her padd and said to Sevrina: "A ship called the Bleeding Heart just docked. That's an interesting name, sounds like they must be affiliated with a relief organization, at the very least."

Sevrina nodded. "Maybe they can tell us something."

As it turned out, the Heart was docked next to the Jade's Fire.

They cut their way through the crowds towards where the occupatns of the Bleeding Heart had just been disembarking.

"Well, it wasn’t found," Oliver started there was a bit of a waver in his voice causing Dasha to raise her brow. "Since the Empire tore apart any areas where natural crystals were, we have to make them, they’re synthetic crystals."

Her face soured slightly hearing that the crystal at the heart was made in a lab. Much like synthetic diamonds, she suspected that synthetic lightsaber crystals weren't that valuable.Though if it worked, she could fence the whole working lightsaber, they still go for a pile of credits.

"It’s placed within an energy chamber," The young knight continued discussing the construction of his weapon, "directly below a focusing lens which allows the energy to be channeled into a blade." He seemed to know a lot about it, makes sense, he built it himself. "Below the crystal are a power vortex ring and a power field conductor, these contain the root of power, the diatium power cell."

"Must have taken you a bit to put it together." She commented shrugging her shoulders.

Dasha finished her second ale letting her head fall back. Some time passed, she wasn't sure how much when the controls started to sound.

"Well'p," CeCe started, "looks like we're coming up on Ord Mantell. Hang on." The slicer gripped the armrests, the only things to hold on to. As the stars snapped into place she looked over the shoulder of the co-pilot's chair looking at the green and blue world hanging in the black. They descended through the atmosphere, flying over the city. As the Bleeding Heart came in for a landing Dasha could see pillars of smoke rising into the sky, people feeling this way and that. The city was under attack alright, and they were the only ones coming in as reinforcements?

Oliver lept into action drawing his blaster Dasha followed somewhat close behind putting her com set on her back. She grabbed the headset putting it over her right ear as she drew her datapad. Accessing the local holonet she found the local government com frequency.

"Anyone on this frequency, where do you need us…" she paused for a moment, hating herself for saying this, "We're from Courscant, we're here to help."

"Hello." A female voice answered Dasha's call, "My associate and I have also come recently to see what has occurred and what aid, if any, we can render. Is there somewhere we can meet and discuss?" It wasn't who she was looking to contact. Dasha was hoping to get somebody in charge that could tell them were the heaviest fighting was so she could throw Oliver at it, while she sliced her way into the local systems and used those to fight for her. She was not a soldier, far from it and the further she could be from the fighting the better she would be. At least from the sound of it there were two more joining, good more people between her and the fighting. That was is she could trust them

"We just landed…" She pulled up the schematics looking for a location away from their docking bay and with lots of exits and entrances. They just arrived and this was an open channel could be anyone on the other end. "Give me a moment to find a good spot." Her voice was still soft, still quiet but, the settings on the comset boosted her voice. "There's a plaza just outside the main docking area, you can meet us there." She muted her comm turning to face her companions. "I have made contact with some others they're going to meet us at a nearby plaza." Her gaze fell on Oliver, "Be ready, I don't trust these guys."

With her words spoken she made her way to meet two, or more strangers in a public place.

As Oliver made his way down to the landing ramp, he could hear the pink haired woman following him down, attempting to make contact with people on the planet.

“Anyone on this frequency, where do you need us... we’re from Coruscant, we’re here to help,” she said.

Oliver stopped, holding his breath for a short while, hoping that there were people who could respond. It was only when he heard the woman respond to someone on the line that he sighed in relief. She began to try and direct these people to where the three of them could meet them.

“There’s a plaza just outside the main docking area, you can meet us there,” Oliver saw her pressing the mute button on her headset, as if she was about to say something she didn’t want the people she was talking to to hear. “I have made contact with some others they’re going to meet us at the nearby plaza.”

She turned her head to look at Oliver.

“Be ready, I don’t trust these guys,”
    she warned.

Oliver raised an eyebrow. Was her turning to tell that to him, her way of moving him to the front of the group, so that he could soak most of the blaster fire should a fight break out. To act as a shield. He wasn’t fully trained. While he was good at blaster deflection, his general form lacked any grace or finesse, being more about striking the opponent with enough force to break down their defense, as opposed to skilfully exploiting the opponent’s weakness. Despite this, he was still ready for what was out there.

“Don’t worry about me,” he replied, looking at his Lightsaber which hummed loudly. “I can take care of myself.”

He made his way to the landing ramp with the woman and held his saber in front of his chest, prepared to block any blaster fire directed at him.

IC: Samantha Irisa, the Detective Wyms Firespray-class patrol ship
Location: Hyperspace, Corellian Run, passing Gamor

Samantha loved the new technological innovations that allowed ships in hyperspace to talk long distance with others in Real Space!

The two were not even the same dimension for drokk's sake!

As far as she was aware, the foundation for the new permutation, was due to the S-thread network that the Empire had seeded throughout hyperspace to support their military HoloNet network.

    Whatever, it was drokking awesome.

She had called home, to her Mum, Angeo Lim, which in turn gave her a vital link to the Secret Galactic Intelligence Service that she had grown up in.

She had relayed that she and Baille were heading to Ord Mantell in response to the New Republic Chief of State's call for volunteers.

"Well, Honey, the response to Leia's call was not that big, so she was right not to use her big office for the briefing." Lim reported with a heavy dose of sarcasm.

SGIS had been a strong intelligence agency during the Old Republic, but had been decimated by Order 66, and mostly absorbed into Imperial Intelligence. Those elements that had been able to remain independent, had been allied with the Rebel Alliance during the Galactic Civil War, so still had close ties with the New Republic.

"We got the names of those who left from Coruscant, and would have a hefty lead on you two: Okay, two femmes, CeCe Barula, also known as 'The Shadow Woman'; a Speedy-"

    "Speedy?"
    Irisa echoed.

"Okay, Dasha. She spoke that name in the lobby, but did not volunteer it inside Organa's office."
The holo paused for a second. "Also a young jedi named Oliver Whills, and some guy named Han Solo."

"Han Solo?!" Irisa had blurted, sitting forwards in the pilot's chair.

"Yeah, the Chief of State apparently knows him from the old days."

Samantha laughed into her cupped hand, equally shocked and amused that she could soon be in the company of Han Solo, Chewbacca, and the famous Millennium Falcon.

When she had calmed down, she broached the idea of how to announce their arrival at the planet. Would the spaceport authorities, if their city was under attack, have the time to formally acknowledge their arrival, and assign them landing berths?

"Comlink standard frequency 1-5-4, is the one that the local government uses. That doesn't stop the enemy from over-hearing you, but it will be the best way to form up with the local defence force."

"1-5-4, copy." The pilot grabbed a stylus and scrawled that on a bit of flimsi, hoping that she remembered the significance of the number when they reverted in the Bright Jewel star system.

"And, Honey, remember to have your shields up before you drop out of hyperspace."
The blue-tinged holograph of her mother, advised, a concerned look on her face. "Once the bad guys note help arriving in-system, they might set up an ambush."

Samantha groaned at that. "Oh, wonderful." Well, that was probably the price for arriving after everyone else.

They got onto the subject of how to announce themselves. Samantha was not keen on the idea of her and Baille just rocking up as just two random girls. Hi, we're here to help. "So, how about 'Meerian Vice'?" She prompted.

"You're not Ithorian, Honey." Angeo pointed out, referencing that Ithorians were also known as Meerian Hammerheads.

    "Does that matter?"

"Kinda. And Ithorian Herdships don't make themselves easy to contact, these days, so arranging to have you deputised in time, could be problematic. Impersonating a police officer, is still illegal, you know."

    "Force 10 From Pui-Ui?"

    "You're not Pui-Ui, either."

Samantha was about to testily complain that her mother was sounding just a bit speciest here, when her face creased into a frown as she remembered something that she had found in Baille's luggage, which admittedly she had dug through far beyond just extracting the girl's vacsuit and helmet.

There had been several colourful, short-sleeved tops, featuring glossy multicoloured rainbows on the front, which she and Baille had worn during the girl guide activities that Uncle Mitch had had the two of them engage in when she spent her Summer holidays at his home on Christophsis, as recently as the previous year, in fact.

"You know, if the wind changes, your face'll stay that way."

Ignoring the warning, she leaned out of the holo-recording area for a moment, grabbing up the pink t-shirt and holding up a fistful of it to show the rainbow to her mother. "Rainbow Rescue Rangers, a division of SGIS." She breathed, instantly feeling as she said the words, that this felt right.

    "Sounds good to me."
Her parent acknowledged readily, much to her relief. "That should certainly help to reassure whatever civilians and kidnap victims that you come across, during this. You sure you want to go with that?"

    "Yes, Mum."

"Okay, we will notify the Chief of State's Office that SGIS are sending a team, and that you two are already on your way. Where are you now?"

Samantha glanced over to the navicomputer. "Heading Corewards on the Corellian Run, approaching Allanteen. Galactic coordinates Osk-14."

"Okay, you be a good girl, and look after your cousin."

"I will, Mum." She promised with a nod.

"Send her my love, and tell her that she is welcome to stay with us if she wants. I don't know what Mitch is playing at, but he made her part of this family. I will call you back when we know more about the team or teams going to Ord Mantell, and if we learn anything about what is going on down there. Pantolomin Base, out."

The spherical blue holograph dissipated into nothingness, leaving Samantha to trip over Baille's open valise, on her way to her own sleeping area, as her ship continued to speed along the hyperspace tunnel.

CeCe grinned and walked out of the Bleeding Heart behind Dasha and Oliver. “Let’s go, we can’t help them by sitting here.” The young woman chuckled at Oliver's comment. "I like the sound of that!" she said, pulling out her twin DL-44 blasters and twirling them. She was ready to kick some rear and save innocent people from the kidnapping sleemos. Once that was over, CeCe would get information out of one of them, concerning the victims' whereabouts. This would definitely lead her to Lana.

As they stood in front of her freighter, CeCe glanced over at Dasha. The female took out a datapad and headsets, probably to see what was going on. "Anyone on this frequency, where do you need us…" she paused for a moment, hating herself for saying this, "We're from Courscant, we're here to help."

"There's gotta be someone else here to help, other than Han Solo,"
CeCe thought in her mind. As she stared at the panicked crowd with sympathy, a voice could be heard through Dasha's comlink. "Hello. My associate and I have also come recently to see what has occurred and what aid, if any, we can render. Is there somewhere we can meet and discuss?"

Letting Dasha and the other female voice discuss the situation, CeCe glanced back at the scene of people running and shouting. The dust was filling up the air a bit, along with the smoke. It kind of reminded her of Tatooine. People were tripping, fleeing, and shouting for help. She gripped her twin blasters that rested on the sides of her waists with quiet anger. It didn't matter who the kidnappers were. They would pay dearly for their wrongdoings...

Finally, Dasha's voice broke her trance. "I have made contact with some others they're going to meet us at a nearby plaza." Her gaze fell on Oliver, "Be ready, I don't trust these guys." The vigilante nodded at Dasha's suggestion, placing her blasters back on both sides of her hips. Good thing she had her black backpack with other equipment as well. "Right. Gotta be careful, especially how things are right now."

Once Oliver spoke, she grinned at him. His courageous and determined personality reminded her of a certain Jedi she knew. “Don’t worry about me,” he replied, looking at his Lightsaber which hummed loudly. “I can take care of myself.” CeCe walked beside him and chuckled. "I'm sure gonna have fun fighting beside you guys." She then made her way out into the public plaza with a ready grin on her face. Who ever the other people were, she had to stay cautious.

A few minutes later, CeCe saw two women. One had long reddish hair and the other was a Noorian. Bravely, she walked up to the two and crossed her arms with a smile, stopping a few feet from them. However, she wasn't to be taken lightly. Being a vigilante, CeCe always kept her guard up, even without looking intimidating. "Hello. So... are you the gals that contacted us?"

Mara saw a group of 3 civilians, with one young woman taking the lead.

She's maybe the youngest of them, by the looks, Mara thought, but she had an undeniable and very familiar air of no-nonsense alertness.
This won her cred points already for Mara who had that same "Don't mess with me" aura.

"Yes, I'm Trader Mara Jade and this is Knight Sevrina Bendal. We were tasked by associates of Luke Skywalker to parse rumor and outright lies to the actual truth and render help if we can."

Sevrina chimed in: "Maybe we can find some place, preferably a cafe, to settle in and talk more? I'm famished and I'm sure you guys are too."

"And the less attention we draw from any unsavory lurkers, the better." Mara agreed.

Oliver left the ship with the two women, feeling tense about what could happen. As they made their way to the meetup point, Oliver’s head filled with thoughts about what could happen. Were these people dangerous? was this a trap? who was behind this attack? He knew he would find out soon.

Then he saw them. He disenganged his Lightsaber and hooked it on his belt and put his plaster back in it’s holster. He knew he wouldn’t need them. One of the two being someone he didn’t know, but, the other being the one and only Mara Jade. Oliver watched as CeCe walked up to the two.

“Hello,” she started. “So... are you the gals who contacted us?”

Lady Jade introduced herself and her accomplice to the group, though for him, she needed no introduction. Master Skywalker spoke very fondly of her to him during his training, almost to the point where he had, for a time, speculated whether he viewed her as a friend or potentially more. Though that was not Oliver’s place speculate.

“Maybe we can find some place, preferably a cafe, to settle and talk more?”
The Jedi with Mara, Sevrina Bendal started. “I’m famished and I’m sure you guys are too.”

This struck a nerve in Oliver. The first duty of a Jedi should be to protect the innocent above all others.

“And the less attention we draw from unsavory lurkers, the better,” Mara added.

Oliver was stunned. He could understand an apprentice wanting to go off and have food, but, two Jedi Knights. Oliver began to have his doubts. Were they really who they said they were? Oliver was now on edge. He put his hands on his Lightsaber and blaster, ready to draw them should something go wrong.

“Lady Jade,” he began, his voice not hiding how tense he felt. “Shouldn’t we first check to see if civilians are okay before we eat?”

Location: Gozanti-Class Cruiser exiting hyperspace near Ord Mantell

Sapetus sat in his seat in the cockpit, exstatic that it seemed like there was going to something truly exciting that was about to happen and, for him, that was all that was necessary. Behind him, his Commando Droids prepared for battle as did his newest servants, the Crushers. With him in the cockpit were his Tactical Droid and a OOM pilot battle droid. The pilot looked at him.

“Sir, we are preparing to leave hyperspace,” it buzzed.

Niluk smiled a rotten smirk. “Good.”

The ship exited from hyperspace above the planet. Niluk was here, ready to play his cruel games with the people down there.

“Lady Jade,” the young male with the Bleeding Heart crew said in a tense voice, “Shouldn’t we first check to see if civilians are okay before we eat?”

Mara eyed him closely. He had a lightsaber and a blaster. Who was this? He didn't look familiar, but of course she wasn't privy to all the students enrolled at the Academy.

She smirked, "No need to "Lady" me. Given names are best if we're going to work together." She said. "I didn't catch your name, and yes, now that you mention it, we should check on the civilians..."

    Sevrina stifled a long-suffering sigh.
She wasn't too fond of ration bars and reconstituted meals. She wanted something that would "stick to the ribs", but she reluctantly acceeded to Mara's suggestion.

Until Mara added, with a glance at the woman who had approached them first:

"What do you think: food and tactical talk or checking for potential victims?"

Lady Jade looked at him. He saw her look at his Lightsaber and blaster and then smirk.

“No need to “Lady” me. Given names are best if we’re going to work together,” she informed the young Jedi. “I didn’t catch your name, and yes, now that you mention it, we should check on the civilians...”

Oliver was still tense. How did he know he could trust them? He saw Sevrina sigh, presumably because of hunger. He did not trust them, but still, he valued being kind to others. He reached down for his belt so he could get a Jedi Energy Capsule. He drew forth a small pellet and cautiously threw it towards the young girl hoping she would catch it. He then looked at red haired woman.

“My name is Oliver Whills, Master Skywalker tought me,” he revealed, still cautious about this woman, though, if she was who she said she was, then she would probably know about him because of what had happened with that Kalleran Master Skywalker allowed to join the order. What happened between them during the time the Kalleran was in the Order and what happened on Lothal one year ago.

Oliver, still tense, clutched his equipment, his heart beating faster after each second, and, for one moment, it stopped out of dread. He sensed it, the monster that had followed him here. Sweat trickled down his head, his eyes wide with fear. He looked to the sky.

“No,” he said petrified. “He’s here.”

Sevrina caught the energy capsule and smiled in thanks.

Mara acknowledged the young man's introduction and gave an inscrutable smile at the mention of Luke's name.

Her feelings for Luke were complicated, a mix she couldn't quite define herself.

She liked and respected him, admired him, even.

She welcomed their physical and verbal sparring matches.

There were moments, however, if she were honest with herself, when her thoughts lingered on that earnest compassionate Farmboy-turned-Jedi with more wistfulness than she cared to admit.

Dasha approached with the others lagging behind them. CeCe had her blasters drawn, Oliver's lightsaber glowed with a icy blue light. She'd heard the legends the stories of a lightsaber's power. That they could cut through solid durasteel, block blaster bolts and redirect them, even take a man apart in a single swing. Part of her was curious to see just how powerful it was. Herself just had her datapad at the ready, her comm squawking in her ear. She still hadn't heard anything about where they were needed. Typical government, once a problem presents itself, they fall all over themselves blaming each other and asking what to do than actually doing anything.

They approached the plaza, the slicer staying in the back. If a fight was going to break out, she'd much prefer to stay out of it. CeCe took the lead pistols still drawn. Seemed she wasn't taking this lightly either. Good they all seemed to taking this seriously. Ahead of them were two women, one with bright red hair the other a woman with dark skin and odd eyes. A near human, possibly. Dasha didn't care what species a person was, she'd rubbed elbows with all sorts, shaking off the Human centrism of her youth.

They introduced themselves, another Jedi and a Trader, however their own Jedi accompaniment seemed to recognize the Trader referring to her with an honorific. One that was quickly waved off. Dasha was looking supremely bored they were here to help the Republic and they were speaking of taking lunch? Maybe it was the ale talking but, she just wanted to get this done.

She saw Oliver tense, eyes widen.

"No," he said voice tight. "He’s here."

"Who's here?" she asked coming to his side. Fingers flying over her datapad looking for any information about what was going on, and any new arrivals. She didn't introduce herself, enough time had been wasted on such things.

Fear, the emotion that was shunned in the old order, now clutched it’s cold hand around Oliver’s heart. He knew that the ship that was reported to have followed them into hyperspace was Niluk, but, feeling his presence over the planet terrified him.

“Who’s here?” The woman with pink hair asked. She was checking a datapad in order to find anything she could.

Oliver was now breathing heavily. He hadn’t seen him in person since Lothal, but, that never dulled how frightened he was of him. The black snake of Kaller, a name given to him after the symbol he made for himself, depicting a black snake wrapped around a red scythe. A symbol he wielded like a Jedi wields a Lightsaber. Oliver never cared for that title, he always preferred to call him something more fitting. “Monster.” Oliver took a deep breath, he knew he would have to tell them who had come to worsen the terrible situation the planet was in, but, he lacked even the courage to do that. He could only say one thing.

    “Niluk.”

Mara and Sevrina both caught the sudden spike of roiling dread coming from the gentleman called Whills.

His candid earnest expression had disappeared entirely and was replaced by dawning horror.

Mara felt a cold fist of icy dread clutch her own heart. She had once been the Hand of the Emperor and as such had meted out his judgments. Vary rarely had she suffered his wrath. Whatever this unexpected and unwelcome presence was, it was a serious menace.

She and Sevrina approached Mr. Whills and Mara said urgently:

"We need to know what you know or sense. I don't think we have the luxury of time here especially if we need to get the populace mobilized into safety."

Sevrina was usually an optimist so it was not her custom to think up worse case scenarios but she had to add: "If safety is even an option?"

    Tep Sardona
    Ord Mantell - Worlport Plaza

    Operation Harpagare

The Plums of smoke were visible as Tep’s shuttle came downward descending through the clouds, the City of Worlport surrounded by the arid landscape drawing closer quickly. Advanced teams deployed by Tep, had already began to sow chaos and disruption throughout the city. The local forces of Worlport were already mired in trying to respond to diversions created by the Dark Jedi forces. This opened the city up for harvesting, as the slums and less than savory portions of the city which already were often left under policed. Were left even more exposed the shuttle and large transport came down quickly, their repulsor engines kicking in at the last moment bringing them to a quick and calculated landing in a plaza. The Vanguard mercenaries and troops of the Servants of Darkness were already bringing people to the plaza. These advanced forces were already rounding up and forcing beings by knife and blaster point back towards the plaza, killing those who resisted and struggled too much. Dozens of the troops had arrived before hand, covertly to plant explosives throughout the city and coordinate the assault. They now ushered and herded dozens of panicking, screaming, and crying beings into the plaza and towards the large transport which had landed near the Dark Jedi Commander’s shuttle.

Lines of people were forming, guarded and spurred forward at blaster point. The sound of engines roaring as a transport and shuttle landed in the plaza. Throughout the plaza being after being felt their eyes stung from clouds of dust and debris being flung outward, from the backwash of the engines.

Tep was walking down the ramp of his shuttle even before it had come to a full stop, coming out into the plaza in the thick of the round up. The smell of smoke and smoldering blaster fire immediately hit him along with the screams and cries of beings nearly drowning out the sound of the engines. The occasional blaster shot was heard as a non-compliant being was gunned down and executed. The troopers and mercenaries of the Servants of Darkness not bothering with trying to move those individuals and moving onto the next. Most beings in shock could not resist as they were grabbed and dragged forcefully towards the transport. Others were too afraid to do anything and were herded through the plaza to what the did not know.

Tep strode forward stoically observing the event proceeding in the plaza. While everything was proceeding as planned, he knew that time was of the essence.

"Why are you doing this?” The voice of a distraught and worried woman pierced the organized chaos. Tep knew it was directed at him. As his gaze slowly moved toward the direction of the woman who clutched and held a small child at her side, the child in tears afraid but still not fully grasping what was going on. “…These people did nothing to you! Why can't you cruel and despicable people leave us alone?!"

Tep looked up again at the plaza, the transports would be opening up soon and they could begin loading. The words of the woman not dismissed but pushed from his mind as he checked on the progress of the loading of the captured.

Suddenly the woman felt her throat tighten and closing gradually, cutting of her airflow. One of her hands clasped her neck instinctively, while still desperately holding onto her child’s hand, unwilling to let go despite the pain and fear over taking her. The child not fully comprehending why mommy was in pain and crying.

The woman continued to struggle, even as she felt her body rising into the air, the tips of her feet dragging on the ground as her fingers straining to keep in contact with her child whose arm was raised high trying to hold on has well. The woman’s eyes bulging with fear as they met Tep’s eyes which finally turned away from the operations underway throughout the plaza of his forces. Burning yellow eyes of the Twi’lek contrasting his blue face.

There was no sympathy. No hesitation, nor any feeling for the struggling beings surrounding him being herded. His cold gaze stared at the woman now suspended before him.

Tep’s gaze turned to the child barely hanging onto his mother’s hand. Looking down with a twisted smile. ‘Do not be afraid child, you move all towards a higher purpose. A great new beginning.’ A wave of confidence moved over the child, projected to the child from Tep. Comforting and flooding the child with pleasant and happy thoughts. Innocent and vulnerable to the influences projected by Tep.

The child failed to notice that his mother now fell limp as her last breaths escaped her, her throat crushed from the invisible grip of the Dark Jedi Commander.

Tep maintained his gaze with the child. Waving his hand and ushering the child forward toward one of the main lines of people preparing to board the shuttle. A Trooper without needing instruction aided in ushering the child forward past his mother’s fallen and deadbody, even the trooper hesitated at the fact of a child. Though the Commander’s stoic and non-relenting demeanor instilled confidence in the trooper to carry out the mission. Fogging and diminishing feelings of reservations. Such were the darker undercurrents of the whole event.

Near perfection. A flawless assault and operation. Though Tep knew better. Nothing was perfection and the currents of the force swirled with anticipation. Anticipation of those he knew were arriving and present.

Tep turned to one of the officers near him in charge of the loading. ‘Step up the pace Lieutenant!’ Tep commanded with a sense of urgency. ‘Get them loaded on the transport NOW!’

    Plaza of Worlport, Ord Mantell

Things were falling apart due to the confusion and continuous panicking of civilians around them. CeCe only had one goal in mind: Save Lana. Yes, she wanted to stop the culprits and save innocent lives. But time was of the essence and they had to move. Quick.

Walking over to Oliver, the young woman gently took his hand and held it over with her other hand. "Hey tough guy. Stay calm. Don't let whoever or whatever get to you. One thing my vigilante mentor taught me is that 'One should never go into battle with fear'. You're a Jedi, tough guy. Stay sharp and strong. Okay?"

After that, CeCe smiled warmly. She then went over to Sevrina, taking her black backpack off and taking something out. It was a plastic bag of a sandwich with three bacons, fried egg, and melted cheese. "Here. I was gonna save this for later, but you look famished. Hopefully this will hold you over until we're done helping the civilians." After CeCe smiled at the female Noorian, she glanced at everyone else.

"Now I'm not one to give speeches, because honestly, they can be a bit corny. But this is all I gotta say: We have got to keep our heads together. Situations are high and I can understand that. But as long as we work together, things will work out smoothly. Whatever we're goin' through, we gotta put it in the past. Keep your heads together. And... uh... let the Force be with us... Let's move!"

With that, CeCe walked off, opposite of the direction where the people were running from. She grabbed a scared, male Squib by the arm and plainly asked, "Where's the source of the attack? We're here to help." The Squib pointed towards the north side. "B-By the Government House!" With that, the frightened individual continued to run off. The young vigilante turned to her comrades and grinned with readiness to fight. "C'mon! This way!" Drawing her blasters out, she ran off, leading the way.

Moments later, CeCe arrived near Government House. She gasped at the sight of a young mother dead on the ground. She then saw a little boy, no more than 5-years-old, walking towards a huge transport ship in some sort of trance. Memories of her dead mother sacrificing herself flooded her mind. With wide and shocked eyes, CeCe glared and took out her flash bomb. "Wh-What have you done...? You... You..." the young woman angrily said, turning on the flash bomb, "YOU KRIFFING MONSTER!!" With that, CeCe threw the device at the blue Twi'lek's feet and readied her blasters. Hopefully, he would be blinded so that this sleemo would be shot down.

People who were standing or sitting by the building watched in fear and relief. They felt really bad that the child lost his mother. But these kidnappers were too powerful. At the same time, they were grateful that someone with weapons and experience came to their help.

Oliver felt a hand reach out to take his, turning His head, he saw CeCe giving him a comforting smile.

“Hey tough guy. Stay calm. Don’t let whoever or whatever get to you. One thing my vigilante mentor taught me is that ‘One should never go into a battle with fear’. You’re a Jedi, tough guy. Stay strong and sharp. Okay?”

Oliver stopped breathing heavily and calmed down. Swallowing his fear, he nodded to CeCe.

    “Thanks,” he said, sighing.

He listened in as CeCe gave her speech to the group, feeling envious that he could not have the same confidence. He followed her into the flames of Ord Mantell to get to the government building, as he did, he couldn’t help, but, look back up at the sky. He could sense Niluk, they would soon meet again.

When they arrived at the scene, CeCe was the first to start the fighting, throwing a flashbang grenade at the blue Twi’lek who seemed to be in charge. He felt the Force flowing through the Twi’lek, a user of the dark side no doubt. As he prepared to strike his Lightsaber, he heard a massive, crashing sound. Turning around, he saw the Gozanti-Class cruiser from earlier, cutting it’s way through buildings to make it’s landing.

It hit the ground with a great crashing noise. A landing ramp opened up and out came a swarm of Commando Droids, which opened fire on anything they could see. Behind them were four figures, each wearing black Mandalorian armour, guarding a white and brown Tactical Droid and a green Kalleran Oliver knew too well. Sapetus Niluk.

Oliver turned back towards CeCe and the others. He should help them, help the civilians, it’s what a Jedi should do, instead, his own desire took a hold. He turned on his Saber and charged. Niluk motioned for his guards to move out the way to allow Oliver to pass. Taking up his pike, he struck the ignition, yellow lightning coating the weapon.

Their weapons clashed, sparks flying over both of their faces, a look of anger on Oliver and weaselly smirk on Niluk. Oliver struck hard, at this point, the civilians were not on his mind, all he wanted was to take revenge on Niluk.
