So we are merging the Chappell-Hadlee series into here as well are we?

Australia all out for 148... cricinfo seems to constantly be saying that it's a difficult wicket, but that can only excuse so much.

Hussey top scored with 42, next highest score Hodge with 22.

Might as well, it's only 3 matches.

We'll start fresh for the World Cup.

I have no objection to it. I think it is a good idea.

But I'm not liking this whole Australia is getting thrashed idea.

It's quite possible the incredible form of Hussey and Ponting over the last year has covered some weaknesses in our side. Any word on Lee yet?

Bad luck. Still, a good close contest and you fought hard...

    Oh, wait!

10 WICKET WIN. AUSSIE 4 LOSSES IN A ROW...

    LOLOLOLOLOL

Why the **** did I not place a wager on this match?

I know your team was understrength with restings and injury, but wow, would never have picked that understrength. Perhaps shows a worrying lack of depth outside to top 11?

It's good that the favourites for the World Cup aren't having things all their own way in the build-up. Brazil weren't all that hot going into the Football World Cup last summer, and it made for a surprising champion. Now I'm not saying the Aussies cannot win it, of course they can, but I always feel a tournament is healthier if there are no bankers.

2nd game is underway. Live audio at http://www.radiosport.co.nz

Nothing really happening in the match as yet - Aussie batting first, 59/2 off 16 overs.

Bond's getting some amazing swing though. Wondering if Tait'll be on song later in the day, that kid makes Lee look like a medium pacer.

Aussies got 336, Hodge must be very irritated as he gets 97 not out. :p

Good start to the chase, Vincent looks good, unfortunately.

Didn't this same thing happen last Chappell-Hadlee series?

Congratulations to New Zealand on the series win.

So, wasn't that like a record run chase? Second biggest total in a ODI at Eden Park and we blitzed :)

Australia, no longer #1 in the world, current skipper (Hussey) has lost 3 from 3... Ponting must be enjoying that :p Good work on them not changing the side after the 10wicket defeat and "giving the boys another chance", haha!

    Nice work Black Caps :)

Sounds like it was a great game. I didn't catch any of it (instead watching the Celebrity Twenty20 match between Shane Warne's 11 and Team Rafter :D) but that was one high total that NZ chased down. From the scoreboard, it looks like Hussey batted something special.

    Congratulations New Zealand.

I didn't catch it, but who is now in the #1 spot ahead of Australia? I can't wait for the World Cup. :D

3rd match starts in 1/2 an hour. We're resting Bond & Vettori, so probably gonna be another 300+ match. If we win the 3rd one we'll go ahead of Pakistan on the ICC rankings table to #3 (we're 3rd equal prsently).

Watson has started well from what I read from the live scoreboard. He's got his half century in as many balls as runs.

Watson just out lbw Patel for 68

    1/123 off 27

Hayden's not really going as fast as he should be...

Wowwee! Sixes are flying! In the past 3 overs, there's been 5 sixes, four of which have been from Hayden!

And then Hodge just got out. :(

Hayden's now on 132, at least he's picked up his strike rate a bit. [face_laugh]
