Yeah, I know. I tried the ABC website link, but they don't stream outside Australia.

England 242/8, end of the innings.

Well, reasonable score. Bowling and fielding will need to be exceptional to defend the total, but at least it's in the mid-200s region.

And Pieterson got good in the ribs by McGrath, that was an unfortunate blow.

Can't defend average score unless you take wickets.

Poor effort in the field , England.

And Pieterson is out for the rest of the one-day series. Very unfortunate, I wonder how the UK public will react to yet another blow to their team?

The same as they did with the Ashes coverage - bury it as a 2 minute segment at the end of the news hour and then mumble something about "not enough preparation". Throw in a few comments from a past captain about how unprepared the team is, and there you have it.

losing KP is bad, bad news for England. no chance for England now. wouldn't be surprised if the Aussies go through undefeated. next game vs the Kiwi's will be telling.

When things go wrong, they go wrong in some style, don't they? :(

I understand the players and staff can't simply concede, but it feels terribly hollow each time Flintoff, Fletcher, and now Vaughan, appear infront of the cameras after another thrashing and say that there are positives to take away from it, and hopefully we can build on these things and win the next match. Fact is, they're not going to win the next match.

Your next match is against New Zealand. Our last one day score was 73 (last week against Sri Lanka). If you're ever going to win a game, your next match will be the one...

I meant next match agaisnt Australia, but yeah, I'll be very disappointed if they don't beat New Zealand.

And I'll be very disappointed if they do.

Out batting seems about the same, but I think we have the edge in the field. That's where I predict the game will be won - difference in wicketkeeping, shys at the stumps, catching and of course bowling.

Any Australians game for a rider? I'll give you 3-1 odds (bookies have Australia around 4-1).

If anyone's up for it, if Aussie win, I have to wear icon and sig of your choosing for one day. If the Black-Caps win you have to wear an icon and sig of my choosing for three days.

    Any Aussies that confident? :p

    I'll take that JP

I'm pretty confident that, outside Bond and Vettori, Australia can dominate the New Zealand bowleres.

    You're on.

    :D

Have the playing 11s been announced yet? Has Lee still got a runny nose preventing him from taking the field?

(and thanks Marcus for keeping the first post up to date with results)

This Patel looks like a player. Good young spinner. How long has he been around JP?

2006/2007 is his first international season.

Game's heating up a little. Symonds won't last if he keeps this up...
