    [face_laugh]!

Still only two out at 2/46... but they're scoring pretty slowly.

    Edit: OUT! 3/59. C'mon NZ!

Edit #2: :( 4/61. I hope Taylor bats some magic.

210, all out on the last ball - decent recovery (thanks to Oram and McCullum 100+ partnership), and we can defend low totals, so could have a match on our hands...

It was a good recovery from 5 for 70 odd or whatever it was.

Franklin and Bond are bowling really well. England is 3/31 - we do have a match on our hands. :D

Good work NZ! You could even get the bonus point if you get this last wicket...

    9/120

Edit: Haha! The next ball - bam! England all out for 120!

Nice - and a bonus point to put us ahead of the poms. Oram & Bond both claim their 100th wickets in the match.

So, 2 in 2 balls from Bond - does his next ball in his next match count as a hat-trick ball?

I'm pretty sure it does. And this is Bond we're talking about - he could do it again!

Oh, and Marcus, when you see this... four 6's were hit. Any close? ;) :D

    No it doesn't. (unfortunately)

If New Zealands top order fires, we could see some good matches coming up.

Oh, can't they go across multiple matches? Is it just overs that I'm thinking of?

Overs, and Innings in a Test Match (ala Merv Hughes)

I did it once over two games in junior cricket. I was happy for a minute before someone told me it didn't count :(

That English player that got 47, his first one was about 15 seats to my left. His four that looked like it would be a 6 (fell a couple of feet short) was about 15 to my right :p

From the scores you would think it was a terrible game to watch but there was enough action to keep me satisfied.

Next clash is Aussies vs Poms on Australia Day! With the Barmy Army finally making the right decision and shipping off home before there is anymore dissapointment, I expect a dominant peformance from the aussies that does not depend on Hussey.

Speaking of Hussey, is there any sponser/general cricket add that he is not in?

England all out for 110... Without McGrath or Braken in the bowling attack.

Ponting gets 50 end the match, although Australia didn't have to do much to win it.

I will not write to much on this for fear of being edited and banned but what a complete and utter embarrassment again.

We have proven yet again that we have no idea when it comes to the one day version of the game, after the world cup it really must be the end for Duncan Fletcher, and the ECB needs to approach Bob Woolmer before he re-signs with Pakistan.

    England like my arse!

"I don't think the side is as bad as they played today." "Hopefully we can pick up our performance in the next game." - Duncan Fletcher.

Again, it's the same crap coming from the mouths of the coach. After every thrashing the side takes, the subsequent interviews consist of the usual "oh, we're not bad. we can do better."

    NO YOU CAN'T.

It's meaningless now, Duncan. The only way to move on here is to accept the massive flaws in this side, and fix them over time. Not insist there's a better side here than is currently showing. If that were the case, they would've beaten the Aussies once, or forced a draw in the tests, or something to cling to. A decent side would have been able to take something from this tour. But this England side cannot. This tells you everything you need to know. I'm not a cricket expert, but I can see when a side is hopeless in it's current incarnation - it shows in all team sports. This is such a side.
